Question Help! Want a new bag - any suggestions on what to buy?

My 30th bday is this friday and I want to treat myself to a new bag but really haven't seen anything thats been calling my name (which usually happens...quite often) Was thinking of finally going ahead and getting the LV Speedy which I've always put off because of wanting something else.

Anyone have any suggestions??? Want to stay around $700 range and it must be fierce!!

(my last bag purchase was the Kooba Parker in ink so I'm definitely due!)

What about Belen Echandia? Beautiful bags in lovely leathers and lovely colours.
I have to say though, it sounds as if you've always hankered after that LV Speedy - if so, maybe now's the time!!

I would choose something from LV. They have very classic looking bags which never are out of style and for 700$ you can get some decent bags.

Happy birthday, chiarijj!
You should check out the Rebecca Minkoff Forum... http://forum.purseblog.com/rebecca-minkoff/

Rebecca Minkoff is latest "IT" designer, she's cranking out the most sought-after bags... We love RM! Especially for the price--It's a great mid-range brand, with the softest, most supple leathers around!

Let us know what you get!

I was going to suggest Belen Echandia also. Check them out at belenechandia.com. They are gorgeous and the customer service rocks!

I had thought about getting the morning after bag awhile ago then contemplated the nikki which I still love...I'll definitely check out that thread, thanks Rachiebabes!

I haven't heard of Belen Echandia...going to that site now!

Ok! I've narrowed it down - officially torn between Rebecca Minkoff Matinee Bag (in midnight/pewter) and LV Tivoli PM. Ugh - help!!!

Well, the Rebecca Minkoff Midnight/Pewtwer Matinee is an older style. So your best shot at finding it is eBay. I do love Rebecca Minkoff bags, but the LV might make more sense.

I definitely think you should go LV also. RM is AWESOME (props to you RM ladies) but is definitely an "it" thing right now compared to a LV which is and probably always will be classic. It also seems like you have wanted one for a long time, which means it's probably something you will get one day anyway. Whatever you do, enjoy your birthday and let us know what you get!

Happy Birthday!! Go for the Speedy!!!!! I got one a few months ago and LOVE LOVE LOVE it even more than I thought! It literally goes with EVERYTHING! I never understood what all of the LV fanfare was about until I got one... now I'm a believer! I got the Damier Speedy 30 and it is perfect in every way! I've actually been considering a Mono... and I have always been super anti-sig!! I honestly my LV!
