Have you considered doing a special order Galleria in Damier ebony? Those things are gorgeous!

^OMG Yes that's my dream bag but unfortunatley I was sent an e-mail from LV when I inquired about ordering it, that said I'd have to do a special order in a LV boutique which I don't have one near me. :(
However, since I have a bit of saving to do anyways, maybe by the time I'm ready to place the order then the Galliera in Ebony Damier Pm will be available online early next yr? Watch....I'll make a purchase & a couple months later or so, the ebony Galliera will become available.....that would so be my luck lol!

Hello Papertiger!

You make a great arguement for the Gucci! I feel my self lusting for some Guccissima leather & the hobo is a great price for it! I like both Gucci & LV since I own both, I hope that the Mono Galliera PM will still be available if I purchase the Gucci, I have to do some saving to fix up my smallest rent house so I can rent it out, Ya, it's a piece of crap now that I had been letting my late aunts hubby rent out & collect the money off of becuase she gave me the house & signed it into my name some yrs back. Well my Uncle was supposed to have been maintaining the upkeep but to my horror the house needs a new roof, drywall repair, new fixtures, carpet flooring, appliances ect! He let the gas line break, too so instead of paying alot to have it fixed I am going to convert it to all electric. This bag purchase is for my Christmas gift then I need to focus on fixing this house up. Ugh! I'm so angry at my uncle (who's not kin by blood btw) I can't even stand to be around him! We have a saying down here in TX: I've been "Kinfolked"! Oh ya, I also had a trailer house located behind the said house & he let the water lines freeze & break in it & now the ceiling & the floor have collapsed & there's no fixing that up! I just lost that rental property compleatly thanks to him!

Although I am more of an LV girl, I would definitely vote for the Gucci leather. I touched one at the store the other day and was head over heals with it. Hmmm...I think I better rethink my next bag purchase.

IMO, there's always a sexiness feeling to having a beautiful leather bag against your body. I thin LV's canvas is more casual.

ITA with you ratox! I love that it comes in chic black Guccissima leather too! I just hope that if I nab the Gucci then Galliera pm will still be available (or vice versa b-cuz I really want both). *Sigh- the GM version has sold out online & since there are no LV boutiques (or Gucci for that matter) within reasonable driving distance then I have to order online.
