i think the guccisima leather is a better look than the LV..

I like the Damier Trevi PM better than the Damier Speedy 30. I still like the Galliera & still like the Black Guccissima Ladies Web Hobo!

Decision making is not my best asset when it comes to bags!!!! This is something that I've learned through my bag addiction & being a tPF member!

What has changed my mind with the Damier Speedy is the reports & pics of the Damier Speedy's handles that have cracked & peeled. :( I would not spend $20 for a bag that did this let alone some $750 or so with TX sales tax. Also, I think I'm opting for a bag that can be carried on the shoulder. The Trevi is more than what I would like to spend but it is such a nice style & ppl seem happy with theirs. I think it's between the Trevi PM, Guccissima Web Hobo or LV Mono Galliera. Ooooo, I hate hard decisions!

Galliera, though the Damier Trevi would be good for something weatherproof.

Ok here is what I gather from some very smart & knowledgable tPFers...The Trevi PM can be heavy, can't hold as much as the Speedy 30 or the opening is smaller than....Gucci has only very few bags that it offers permanently, & I called LV to find that the hardwear on the Galliera is now coated to prevent black marks on the vachetta.

My hubby likes Trevi but I'm still confused on what to pick. I wish I had an LV or Gucci Boutique near me but I don't. :( I have to order all my bags online!

Trevi owners have you had a problem with peeling handles? How long have you had your Trevi & how often do you use it? I've heard alot about peeling Damier Speedy handles & today I've read one post that was posted today about someone having to return her Trevi to exchange it for another one because of peeling handles. She says her exchanged trevi is now a yr old & the handles are starting to peel on that one too but not eneough to bother her.

Whaaa! I still can't decide! I've narrowed it down to the Guccissima Ladies Web Hobo & the LV Trevi PM (galliera can wait as it will still be arounfd for a while?) due to the fact that I NEED a bag in wither brown or black (don't have either yet since I got rid of all my cheap bags) & I NEED one that I can wear in any weather. Usually I can choose much faster than this but I'm really stuck!

Okay, I just googled the Gucci now so I actually know what it looks like this time.

I'd actually say the Gucci, going from my very limited knowledge of both the Gucci and the Trevi. I don't own a Trevi, but I do know that it is pretty heavy, especially if you're carrying it on your arm, and the strap is nigh-on useless (it's too thin, so it slips all the time and looks kinda awkward IMO if you leave it on if it's not being used).

... I really like that style of Gucci, actually. Perhaps I should be rethinking my next Bal purchase.

Thanks ladies, sorry I shoulda posted pics or links or something for easier comparrison, but I'm kinda green with the posting pics part. I am taking everything y'all said in consideration (yes I said y'all I'm from TX

). Where I live we have more nice days than bad but our winters can be pretty wet so in that regaurd the Gucci can be worn in any weather, my hubby is the one who placed the Trevi pm as an option & he likes LV more than Gucci but I love both. I think that the Trevi will still be there later on (even though the price will increase) & to be honest I'm not so sure I'm feeling it anymore. Out of all the LV Damier pieces I like the Trevi the best but to be perfectly honest, I'd rather hold out until LV can add Damier ebony piece that is a bit less than the Trevi but more stylish than the NF or Totally & prefferably a shoulder bag. Even though hubby says it's ok, I'd still just feel guilty buying the Trevi PM becuase it's like $1660 + tax. I like a $1500 limit (unless it's an absolute must-have) but even thats alot especially for a canvas bag. The Galliera PM is the LV shoulder bag I'd really like but I like it just as much as I do the Guccissima leather Web Hobo. These are the 2 that I favor the most & don't care anymore what hubbs thinks. I'm going to try to get both but it's really matter of which one to get 1st because I can't get both a once (darn it)! I've never faced such a hard choice in my life LOL!
