Alright, so heres the basic scenario. Christmass is coming up and I wanted to get my girlfriend something, and I know she has a major thing for purses. I'm hopping some of you can point me in the right direction of things to look at in my desired range. I know its hard to recommend something thats probably so specific for different girls, but I think given a broad list to look at I can decide personally what would fit her.
I need to stay under about $500. What could that kinda range get, are there any "designer" brands within that, and where would i find them (Macy's, Nordstrom, ect.). Thank you |

I think, for that range, you can probably find a nice variety of bags for that price. My personal favorites are definitely under $400 at least. But they're a bit hard to find since it's so exclusive to certain dept stores.
Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Clutch $330 ![]() Mini Beloved $395 ![]() 3-Zip Clutches ($195-$295) Morning After Clutch 3-Zip $295 ![]() Other variations of the 3-Zip: 3-Zip Rocker (the base of the bag is slimmer compared to the above, and not as big) $195 and the Stud Rocker (only one pocket) $330 Is it possible you can order these bags online? If so you can get these bags sometimes at a discount and a code to use on it, too. If not, then you may need to call places like Saks, Neimans and Bloomingdales and see if they carry it. Nordstrom carries them too, but only a few stores do. Good luck. Some sites that carry the above bags: LunaBoston MyObsessionsBoutique Revolve Clothing AsterAlice.com |

Good suggestions above! Rebecca Minkoff has some awesome leather bags.
Do you have any idea what designers/brands your GF favors? Does she have any Coach? Coach would probably be easiest on your wallet. |

Rebecca Minkoff, Linea Pelle, there are lots of gorgeous bags in your price range and lower. Adoring that purple MAC linked up above!
![]() Hate to be a stick in the mud, though, but could you see if you can find some way of taking her out and buying her something? Handbags are notoriously difficult things to pick out even for someone you know so well, and that way you know you're buying something she loves. You could take her to lunch and make a day of it.

Yeah... Maybe I should send her friend out on a "spy" shopping thing with her lol. My girlfriend is a very easy person, and generally not picky in the least.... But when it comes to these purse and shoes with her, maybe I'm just outa my league on this one lol!
Thanks |

I say let us know what the brands are she already has, we might be able to draw a conclusion from that. Does she like logos or more simple design bags?
I personally think a little something from LV would be nice to give as it is so timeless. How about the mini speedy HL($430), she could use it for different purposes, not just as a handbag. Or a pochette or the EVA. Also, I think Marc by Marc Jacobs has some really nice and affordable bags! |

I think people tend to either love, or hate (well, maybe hate's too strong a word! LOL!) LV - so you really need to know which camp she falls into.
![]() Put it this way - I wouldn't be overly impressed, myself, but I would still be very grateful that I'd been given such a generous present, of course! ![]() I think that's the thing - she will be very happy whatever you get her (as long as you keep the receipt! ). ![]() Personally, I'd like a Chloe clutch (as always!) - bought on sale, it might be achievable for $500. ![]() But that's just me and chances are your GF will have a completely different preference. ![]() As Roxana asks, which brands (and styles/sizes/colours etc.) does she already own/like? Do you know? |
