I agree, just like *iluvmybags* that the satchel in black was the nicest design but the braided handles kind of hurt when I held it. I am a "crook in the arm" type of user and I could see this bag hurting when it gets heavy. To me, it seems they would pinch! Everything else was--well was just there!

ITA agree that the woven design was not made that well too!

OVERALL--you had a great, dead on review. I just was not that impressesd, sorry guys.

Nice Woven Bag KoobaLover -- my store didn't have that one. They only had the White Woven Stachel and the smaller Messenger style bags -- Did your store have that bag in black only? It looks like it opens much wider than the satchel since the zipper goes down the sides like that. That's a problem with the woven satchels -- the zippers stop at the top ends & they just don't open that wide. I can see it being a problem.

Are these leather or pleather? I know I read the answer somewhere, but can't remember now.

they are not leather - PVC -- I still don't understand why these designers/Target can't do at least ONE bag in leather and the rest in PVC -- Target does sell leather bags & shoes for <$50 -- I just don't get why these "designer" bags aren't!! I really think it would improve their sales if they did

the satchel was $39.99 - the most expensive bag was the drawstring tote for $49.99

Yes, that was the only color in the large woven tote. I saw pics online that they may be available in green as well, but that might not mean that green will be available in stores.

i just went to my target (troy, mi) after calling around different ones and found that they had them in stock. i picked up the woven handle satchel (in black), drawstring tote, black woven tote and the swing pack (in blue).

i'm hoping to get the woven handle satchel in blue but i think that that's going to be an online item. i'm actually giving the black one to my friend for her birthday coming up april 9.

the review was a good and honest one. hopefully it'll make people who were skeptical about the bags take a closer look at them. actually, they are well made and the style is great and the price is suiting. i think people will think that the bags cost alot more than the $20-$50 range.

i have the target fashion/beauty/style catalog where it featured a page with joy gryson and the bags. she described how she was a working mom and wanted to design her bags (for target and mainline) as bags of functionality, versatility and style. she's managed to do all of that in the bags. i look forward to sporting them through the spring and summer... actually throughout the year since they have the shapes that can go well anytime of the year (black is an all around color).

I was at Target today I forgot to look for them. Oh well, I got to Target at least 3 times a week, so I'll be there again soon. Thanks for the review!
