Hey, ladies! Gap.com has a few cute bags on sale right now for $50 and under! I didn't post any here but you can check them out at Gap.com under handbags! There's a really cute leather clutch with a rose detail and zipper trim for about $20 that'd be fun for summer!

it looks like the skull is attached by a ball chain, which is easily removed by the clasp on the chain, or cut by scissors.

tlloveshim, djgirl - have you tried registering on etsy again (it's very frustrating, I realise)? Many people have reported similar problems on the Etsy forums and hopefully this is the solution:

Vigil says:Perhaps I'd better sum it up in fewer words then so people don't have to wade through all that!

If you've replied to the confirmation email, but you haven't received an email back within a few hours saying that your account has been successfully confirmed, then your reply probably didn't work.

In that case, check which address the original confirmation email was sent to (that is, the address you put in when you signed up). Your reply needs to come from that exact address.

If you're like me, you might have provided Etsy with an email address that gets redirected to your main email account... in this case, your reply came from a different account than Etsy expects. To get around this, temporarily change the "From" email address you use (e.g. in Thunderbird Mail, it's under Account Settings) to the email you gave Etsy, then reply to the confirmation email.

Hey, PB! Yeah, I finally got registered and confirmed! It was a glitch in their system but it's fixed now. And I have had a TON of fun browsing there! I even placed an order with the gal whose items I was originally interested in! I simply LOVE the jewelry that I've found on there! Such creative people!

On another note.... Wilson's leather has handbags on sale now and also has a buy one get one half off deal so a lot of bags end up being $50 and under! Just check out Wilsons Leather!

Crazy but, I brought MOST of my bags from Payless (before I lost my dang mind and started throwing down hard-core$$$ on swanky bags :-)

I'd always snag a few and get loads of compliments...and I figured it's not ALWAYS about how much a bag costs that make 'em great...it's about how you rock that bag! And I could rock me a cheap-y Payless bag!

Thanks A-T-G, for reminding us that Payless isn't just for shoes anymore!

And it is great to see this thread still going, the other day, the management said that they keep an eye on trends, and what people are talking about, and Vlad has already said we can have a cheap bag subforum, so the more people are talking about it (she said, ignoring the shame of not having contributed any links to bags in some time herself) the more compelling a trend it will be!
