OK, I see people on here all the time going on and on about how they just really want this bag or that bag because it is so fabulous etc etc blah blah. So now it's my turn.

Now you may not be sophisticated and chic and generally elegant and refined enough for this particular bag, in which case, don't feel bad. Some things you're born with, or in your case, you weren't. But you probably have some other really really good qualities, like, hm, gimme a sec - OK - steady and reliable - that's it! and probably some other really good qualities like that. So this bag is not for you, some of us have to be listeners, or there would be no need for the orchestra, right?

Or maybe, like me, you don't have $15.

But if none of the above applies to you, you are going to go and get you one of these, because you just won't be able to stop yourself. In one glorious moment of Epiphany, you realize that your whole life has been nothing but an intro, a preface, an overture, to the Luminous Now, that you have become Aware of The Bag, and mouse in hand, lips curved gently in a near-beatific smile, you click Into the Light....

Cute bag, ShimmaPuff! I like flamingos. Liverpool Football Club (the club I follow) has a tall (all of 6 ft 7) player named Peter Crouch, and a couple of weeks ago, a commentator described him as "FlamingoCrouch" so this phrase has stuck in my mind ever since.

Hello Kitty fans like maggiesze: any interest in this?

Lovely bag, Shimma! And cute Hello Kitties, PB!

Sorry I haven't posted any under $50 bags! I've been searching for a rather inexpensive kelly green or lawn green handbag! I have a olive green bag I found at JCPenneys for a good price but still want a greener bag. Any ideas?

Also, I ordered the Lulu tote that was posted a few pages back in yellow from Nordstrom.com and it is so cute! The tote is on sale now for under $14 if anyone is looking for a cute tote! Thanks for the original post; sorry I can't remember who posted it and I'm too lazy to look!

Any black friday under $50 handbags??

hm. kelly green is not a "hot" color right now, so I am not surprised you are having trouble. There is one somewhere in this thread that has a green print, or embroidery, but I think you want solid bright green, and rechecking all my favorite cheap sites, I am having no luck. And all I see on eBay are a lot of really hideous lime green faux croc abominations.

You know what you might consider, if you have a cobbler who is good at it, is getting a white bag, and having it dyed!

ShimmaPuff, do you have a blog? Are you going to contribute as a guest blogger here? If not, you most certainly should.

Thanks passerby! What a nice compliment! I do issue sporadic threats of starting a blog, but so far there is no indication that I will actually do so, but never say never.

There are so many experts on here that know all about the different designer bags, I think they will make terrific guest bloggers on here!

bella sarafina, any lady under 85 may use hello kitty accessories provided they go with her outfit, and she remembers to match bling with hardware unless she is deliberately not doing so. Older ladies will look much better if they stick to vintage items featuring Hello Kitty's Mysteriously Disappeared twin sister Mimi. While it is true that Mimi used to be stuck up, every since she Mysteriously Disappeared everybody says she has really changed.

Expert or not, your writing is hilarious and there's always need for a good, lighthearted laugh. Perhaps you can be the guest blogger who finds outrageous, fun, cheap purses? lol :)

Have you looked on Etsy? They have some amazing talented purse designers. If you find one you like that isn't in the right color I bet one of them could do a special request.

I found a couple...
Green & Black Daisy Tote $16
Green Brown Dotted Handbag $23
Super Stripey Retro Vinyl $22
Green Diamonds Hip Shoulder Bag $24
Leaves of Grass Tote $35

And there were 130+ pages when I searched for Green Purse. :)

Shimma, you're hilarious! I have a headache so am trying to laugh CALMLY to keep my head from blowing up!

Thanks, also, ladies for the handbag suggestions! They are all lovely but nothing is clicking with me. I think I'm going to keep it tucked in the back of my mind and if I'm out and about and see one that hits me, I'll grab it up! I'm predicting that various shades of green are going to be popular this spring.... (are you listening fashion gods???) Not lime greens but lawn greens and kelly greens... it'll follow this season's love of red! LOL!

True, there are many experts here but very few with your inimitable sense of humour, ShimmaPuff.

Eeeekkkk!!! Shimma! I remember MIMI! I had a really cute little comb and mirror set when I was about 5 that had Mimi and Kitty on it!! I just loved it(Especially because my sister and I both had the comb sets!) What a great blast from the past! I have been slacking(out of town-etc), so I must go to find bags to add to this fabulous thread!
