I used to like fringe bags, but now I don't.

I think it depends on the person carrying it, and what they're wearing...I've only seen a few women that could pull one off. I love this one, another GD:

And VB....well....she can pull anything off. I looooove this bag on her. On anyone else....not so much. I've accepted the fact that the tassels on my Bal are enough for me.

Not really, too fussy and often 'hippyish'.

I love fringing; I have the Mulberry 'Laurie' in orange (!) and I love it. I love that bag in your post. Fringing does seem to be something which divides people, you either love it, or hate it. If you love it; get it. x

I like them if they're done well.

I've never really been sure why so many people on here don't? Is it the Western connotation?

I have a really nice Russell & Bromley chocolate suede fringed bag that I bought in the late '90s/early '00s that I haven't used in a while, I keep meaning to dig it out.

I have to say, though, that I'm really more into tassels than fringes, at the moment.

I like fringe usually, but then I love hippie style :) I've been looking for a fringed bag actually, The HH Wyeth hobo (I think that's the name) is pretty awesome looking. I just bought a pair of fringed suede boots in dark brown, and they're gorgeous!

In fact, I actually love the infamous fringed LV bag from a couple of years ago! And I know many people hate it!
