Sorry, I do not like the bag on post 1, but I do like Gerard Darel even if fringes are not for me.

Ugh fringe bags. I've only seen one I really like (the Hayden Harnett Wyeth Tote) because the fringe was so subtle. And even still I'm hesitant to purchase it because of my aversion to fringe.
I suppose most of all I just don't like those fringe bags where it's like BAM THEY LOOK AT ME FRINGE WAGGLE WAGGLE. Also I feel the look is so trendy that once the fad stops you'll be stuck with a giant fringed leather bag that cost $XXX and looks out of date. |

even though it reminds me of a rodeo, i still love these bags! but they should be worn with something simple, and avoid wearing it alongside something else with fringing! otherwise you really will look like your out of a western...

I don't like too much fringe, but I don't mind a handful of tassels from the zipper pull or if it's a flap bag and it trails down the middle. I remember seeing one of these fringe bags on Megs' Purse Blog and I loved it. Impractical but would look nice w/ a white outfit and Inuit moccasins.

I'm not a fan. Fringe bags are just not my style.

I like some fringe on a bag, but I think you have to be careful not to over-do it. It is also kind of young looking so if you are over 40 (I am) I'd say get one with tassles.
