yellowpillow.....I don't personally believe you purchased a fake bag. FB bags are really beautiful but I don't actually think they are in the price range to be replicated or knocked off, as you can purchase them for in the $300 to $400 range.

There's quite a lot of FB on ebay, Zappos, Nordies at the mo, some at great prices, others abit exorbitant.

Once the china market become aware of th value of the brand i.e by how many they are churning out for the genuine label, there's always a risk of counterfeiting/ copying for greater returns. Thats the risk luxury brands like LVMH DONT tend to take. AND thats why I wouldn't consider FB a luxury brand though I do feel that many FB bags would qualify to stand aside the best in market in any category. Mass market route may not be best strategy for FB long term, but with hard economic ties ahead, may just pay off as long as quality is not compromised.

Whilst I have 4 FB's which are fabulous, and they sit proudly alongside my LV, Bottega, Escada & Hermes, I look at a bag for the quality of the leather, appeal and sheer sumptouness and FB has it all currently (plus a good price!), if that wanes I'll continue to love my existing 4 and jump ship.

Enjoy the festivities ahead

I'm on year three with my braided handle white bag and love it!!!! I would get another but am waiting for a style that grabs me. The style you picked btw is very similar to a bag that will be coming out very soon by mbmj. I don't know what colors it is coming out in. I saw it in gray and love it.

In my opinion, you can't go wrong with a Biasa bag. They are made to last and the leather is very strong and most of all can take the rain!

I am a retailer of Francesco Biasia Handbags and I have to say that the bags are designed by a team of European designers. That is why, unlike so many American designers, they have so many different, fresh, unique styles each season. They experiment with materials, some are heavy, more lately are light, some are relatively inexpensive. Not all are leather and they are sourced all over the world....some are prices higher but still no higher than their competitors. They are not afraid to try new things which is what I love most about them. If you pigeonhole them you are making a big mistake. All will not be big hits but I have to tell you, our customers receive lots of compliments on them and always ask to see the latest! They are worth watching and do not let other comments sway you too much with this extremely diverse collection!

I have two FB bags from a couple of years ago, I think they were called shoulder "Collette" and were just under $500 each. For being a mid-range bag, the one in the sandalwood color gets lots of compliments when I carry it.

I don't wear them often simply because I have others but I've always thought of them as really good bags. The leather is a good solid leather - it's probably my imagination but I'm starting to feel like my older bags are of better quality than some of the newer bags being made.

My bag weighs maybe a pound empty if that. I bought a chocolate brown which has a silver irridescence in it for my mother and to this day she keeps getting compliments on it every time she wears it. Her bag is about three years old too! They are made to last and have a european flair. I love them!

I love Francesco Biasia!

They are well made, have great leather, and are usually super cute.
Also, the company is great...they have great CS.

In terms of demand, whenever I have them in my store, I tend to blow out of them.

I have the "Hip Collette" in white. Do you know if there is a difference between the "Hip Collette" and the "Collette"?
Either way, is a beautiful bag!

I just did a search and you're right, it is the Hip Collette. Same bag, and the one I get the compliments on is not Sandalwood, it's Cherrywood. Could I have messed that up more??? The versions I'm seeing are smaller than the two I have, which are pretty large. ITA it is a great bag with the side pockets and front pocket plus lots of room in the bag itself.

I just pasted a picture of my FB Bea Shoulder Bag to my tpf album.
I love this bag!! It's soft, smooshy leather that hangs just right and it's holding up very well!
