i'm looking for a black bag that preferably can be carried over my shoulders, but i also like the tote.

ps. this is my first time posting pics so i don't know how to make them appear in the post instead of as attachments.

in the order they appear...

- the Wild Lady shoulder bag, measuring 15.5" L x 9" H x 4.5" W with a shoulder strap of 7"
- how it looks like being worn
- the Wild Lady tote, measuring 15" L x 11" H X 5" W with a shoulder drop of 10"
- how it looks like being worn
- the smaller version of the shoulder bag in brown, which i cannot find measurements for

i also kind of like this one, but it may look too "long" on me!? (i'm only 5'3" and kinda skinny)

what do you all think? thanks in advance!
hi! i just got my first FB wild lady bag on monday and i LOVE it. the leather is very nice...thick, soft, and has a nice "worn" look. the one i have is Francesco Biasia 62401 : fb_62401 : Handbags : Francesco Biasia : Wild Lady : Bagshop.com and the color i have is gray (i got it from Nordstrom's...bagshop.com didn't have the gray). i really like that last bag you posted. i like having the shorter shoulder strap that you can also wear in the crook of your arm or carry in hand. the longer strap you can wear on your shoulder or also cross-body. i'm 5' and pretty small also. the bag you posted is comparable in size to the one (my is slightly higher than it is wide) i have and i don't think it looks too long for me, even when i use the long strap as a shoulder strap. hope that helped!

hello thank yo ufor your feedback! when you say the last bag i posted, do you mean the brown one in the last picture or the black one in the link!?

i'm leaning towards the black one in the link now...hehe but gotta get a measuring tape to see how long it is exactly. i'm usually into bigger bags and i have quite a few, so that's why i want to get a shoulder bag this time.

thanks again~

I personally don't own any Biasia (yet) but I do maintain my mother's bags, and she owns two. One is a small black winter purse, and the other is a summer shoulder bag.

The winter purse needs very little work to keep it in pristine condition. The summer bag does tend to dry out, and thus needs a bit of babying every six months or so. I haven't noticed any issues with the lining, but I'll keep my eye out for it.

[quote=Prada Psycho;1734671]This caught my eye this morning. It's different: the color, the texture of the leather and the price isn't bad. Can you Francesco Biasia handbag owners give me some feedback on the quality/durability of this line of bags? And comments on this particular one. Here's the link to Nordies if you need more angles: Francesco Biasia 'Gypsy Rain' Cinch Tote - - Nordstrom.com

I really like this bag!!! Thanks for posting the pic. I only have a hot pink nylon FB and I love it. Very lightweight and great for summer.

I don't currently own any FB bags but I was at Marshalls and TJ Maxx yesterday and saw a bunch at both places, in case anyone is looking. They're probably older styles but the leather seemed really nice.

It's here and it is definitely a keeper!

I love this bag! The details are to die for. You can't see it on the Nordie's pics, but normally you don't get "feet" on a slouchy/hobo type bag. FB even saw to that detail. I can't stand bags that don't have feet on them, but this has five! The lining is GORGEOUS! It's silky feeling (polyester fabric) and with the semi-open top design (has a magnetic snap as well as the drawstring closure), you can still see the fabric peeking out around the top even when it's cinched closed. The leather is lovely. It's sort of a light crackled finish with only a bit of the "glazed" effect so it's not shiny looking. It appears to be very well made and has substantial metal accents. The one surprise was that I thought these bags were made in Italy, but it was actually made in China.

I'll take some pictures and post them here after I get home. Fair warning though, it's still cloudy and icky here, so my camera will auto-flash. That makes every leather bag I own look very shiny.

Very, very pleased so far!!

Here she is! I'm liking this bag and I LOVE the lining. I went to physical therapy today and my PT (who is a self-professed non-fashionista) even commented on the bag and how much she liked it. I love the Italian horn charm on the front tassle too. Too cute!

I love FB. bags! I have a "Paradise Mix" natural woven Francesco Biasia that is great quality and has held up beautifully. I use it when I go on trips in the summer.

I thought so too, but I guess FB is outsourcing to China like a lot of bag makers do. Sort of funny gettting a bag from an Italian designer that was made in China, but hey, that's modern business!

Kind of reminds me of my violin. Most people think of violins as being made in Italy or somewhere in Europe but some of the best violins being made right now are coming out of China. Mine did, and it's FANTASTIC!

Well, isn't that interesting. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised...as long as the quality doesn't go down, I'll keep buying FB bags.

Speaking of FB bags, does anyone trust buying from overstock.com? There are a whole lot of FB bags there and many are under $200.00. Is there a such thing as a fake FB bag? I hope these are real!!! I want one at those prices! Here's the link:

Strange. The two I bought in December (Stellar Style satchel in gray leather -- light glazed look like your bag and Secret Love large satchel in ice patent) were both made in Bulgaria.

I have a brown suede and leather embellished Francesco Biasia bag and it is beautiful, they are really well made and look expensive!
