I have two LV Speedys, Damier Ebene and Mono, and I have one Dooney & Bourke that I just purchased ( they've brought out a commemorative line in scrumptious all weather leather) that is shaped like an LV Speedy. Most of my LV's are shoulder bags, but every now and then I like to carry a handheld bag. I love my shoulder bags, but for some reason, I just feel more feminine when I carry a "satchel" type bag.

^ ITA! I just feel more elegant carrying a bag in the hand or elbow. I've been downsizing my collection from big tote/carryalls, which I'd always overstuff and end up with neck and back aches. Whenever I'm people-watching at the mall or coffee shops, the ones who carry satchel/speedy/doctor-style handbags always look the classiest to me!

I just have one! My Damier Speedy 25...but I wish I had more! I think the Speedy looks gorgeous in Epi leather.

I agree that it looks more elegant when the bag is carried in the hand/elbow. However, I must be a "kitchen sink" packer b/c my bags always feel heavy! Due to neck/back problems, I've given up on most non-shoulderbags, which rules out speedies.

I love the look of a doctor bag/speedy but they just aren't practical for my lifestyle as I need my hands free as much as possible. I had a LV monogram speedy 25, but just sold it recently to help fund another bag. I do like seeing it on others though!

I have five as this is my favorite style. None are LV. I love how they can be small and roomy at the same time. Right now I have my eye on these two:

http://www.stevemadden.com/item.aspx...en%20handbags|

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3034522/...bo=6009676&P=1

I am leaning more towards the second one in the natural color.

ITA about feeling/looking more polished when wearing this kind of bag.

I wish you hadn't post that

I have seen this style before and took me a minute to catch on the brand

Now I cannot decide on which!
