What a shame...it almost makes me afraid to use the bag in case I make it worse. But I have to admit that the bag has been such a workhorse and I love it.

Ok, I just checked. The thread was still there. It was on Thursday July 31st. It was more of a private sale at the one in SF. I dont know if there is going to be anymore but I assume they will have another one on the exact same date next year. Lets hope that Im right and save up ur cash til that day.

After surfing this thread for a while, I decided to buy a white St. Louis tote bag!! I think I'm tired of those obvious LVs or Gucci logos everywhere so I stopped buying them and looking for "differrent bags."

I started with Anya Hindmarch's Be A Bag. Anya is not well known here in my hometown (except I'm not a plastic bag) but I really really love it. It's so unique and special to have a brandname bag custom-made for you. After Anya,I just wanted the bag that has it's own history and Goyard is just right.I don't care if nobody knows what bag I carry or how much it costs. Now I'm planning for my next bag, probably another Anya's Be A Bag.

Here is close-up pictures of my St. Louis. I have Canon DSLR and macro lens so I took pictures of the hand-painted monogram of Goyard as refernces in case you want to compare with the fake ones. I've never seen fake Goyard personally but I think if you have references, it must be easier to identify the fakes.

that's so sad to hear... i have a fidgi myself and i love it to death! i hope it doesn't "blur" on me.... that would be the saddest thing....

does anyone know how to clean the inside of the goyard fabric? i spilled some grape juice on the inside of my st louis tote! :(

I have been dead set against buying "non-retail" designer items for such a long time, but I have found a white one at a consignment store for a great price (great, but not too good to be true!)....I just wanted to compare it against something I know is the real deal.

it doesn't look like it has the 2 dots in-between E and Goyard like E:Goyard. anyone else see that? maybe its just the pic!

Here you are!!

I have been surfing ebay on Goyard items and others for a while. The quality of most of the pictures are not good at all. Even though the authenticity of the bag speaks for its self, but the pictures don't. (But my bag is not from ebay.)

For example, on shoeshoppinggirl's item, we can't even see the serial number and the stamp. If you receive the bag, please post the pics of the bag again. Make sure you use "macro mode" usually represents by the flower icon taking close-up pics. Do not use flash light, just take the picture outdoor under day light.

I didn't notice that! Good thing I decided not to take the risk. Better to get it straight from the boutique!
