Default Balenciaga or Bottega Veneta?
Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. I'm looking forward to buy my first designer bag, but I'm still thinking whether I should buy Balenciaga (GSH city/day) or Bottega Veneta (medium veneta). I really need your opinion, I hope you can help me to decide, thank you!

Wow these two bags couldn't be more different! I vote for a Balenciaga -- the GSH city is one of my most coveted.

Definitely the Bottega Veneta! The Medium Veneta looks really gorgeous, and probably can fit a lot more than the Balenciaga City/Day. And since the MV is a hobo, it can be a really good everyday bag. The City looks nice too but can only fit a little. It really depends on how much you carry.

I have both and really consider them 2 totally different styles.
They are both comfortable and easy to carry...the BV is more classic, while Balenciaga gives you another vibe, more rock&roll, if you know what I mean.
In any case, you can't go wrong with any of the two.
Look at the modelling pictures in the 2 forums dedicated to the brands and have fun deciding!

I'm pretty biased here... I'd go with the Bottega Veneta!! Gorgeous and versatile!

I agree with the others that you are considering two VERY different kinds of bags. Having owned a number of both, I would say that both are terrific choices.

Balenciaga is the younger and edgier option. I'd suggest staying away from the giant hardware for your first bag since that may be a bit trendy, but otherwise Bal is a great choice.

Bottega is, I think, more classic, and a better choice if you are not one of the younger members of our Purse Forum.

Let us know what you decide!

I really like both but it depends on what you're going to be using for and wearing it with. BV is much classier and Balenciaga is much more fun...

Thank you for all your opinion.. actually I'm still 19, so do you think that balenciaga suits my age better?
to ampeefyed: I'm thinking city or day bag for balenciaga or medium veneta for bv.

^^ Yes, I think the Bal City will work better for your age.
