I haven't think about the color yet.. I might be looking for neutral color so it can last for a long time. do you have any suggestion?

I've owned all 3 styles. I would say that the BV Medium Veneta fits the least amount of stuff, closely followed by the Bal City)very closely), then the Bal Day. Even though the Veneta and the Day are both hobos, I had a much easier time finding things in the Veneta and most things just swim inside the Day (it's so deep). The City and the Veneta would rate higher in 'ease in finding what you need list' than the Day. In terms of leather, personally I think I'd spend $2K in a BV bag over a Bal bag any day, but their leather's more delicate (assuming we're talking about the regulars, nothing exotic or SOed) and I'd stick to darker color Venetas as the lighter ones show dirt/stain fairly easily. Most of the Bal bags(especially the newer season ones) I've bought and sold seems to have a light glaze/shine to it and they're easier to take care of, especially with the right products, though it's been known that their color fades after heavy use, I personally haven't seen any in the ones I used(but then again, I don't use them for very long before storing them away or selling them already:-). Now, with the color options, you can't go wrong with Bbags. If you're on a budget, I think there's more Bbags online(retailers or auction sites) to choose from as supposed to BVs. I've seen alot of Bal fakes, and very very few BV fakes. Since you're only 19, maybe Bbags are more suited for you. Hope this helps! GL:)

It depends on your personal taste. One is a classic and one is a classic with an edge. My niece is 23 and she would choose the BV hands down only because she likes classic things. Either way, you are buying a wonderful bag! Good luck!

For me, I would always pick the Bottega Veneta. However, for your age, you might be more happy with the Bal bag. That line seems very popular with the young crowd (a crowd that I don't belong to ) But, really you can't go wrong with either choice.

Bottega Veneta is such a classy choice. I think you would get more wear out of it. I have a medium Veneta in Ebano, a rich dark brown and it has worn beautifully. The leather is as soft as butter, but has shown very little wear!

Between the two the BV would get my vote (though I like both brands)

I love both brands, and I agree with those who said the BBag would be better for someone your age...though, to be honest, IMO both brands are a bit too much for anyone under late 20s (not just because of the look but also because the prices are so high and not something that someone that age normally can afford). As to the color choices, they're endless! I personally like neutrals.

I agree, the styles are very different. I think you'd possibly be best placed to make the decision based on whether you wanted something hip and funky (Balenciaga) or whether you wanted something more classic (BV). I agree that Balenciaga tends to be used by a younger crowd than BV.

Best wishes with the decision and be sure to let us know what you eventually decide.

I like Bal but I adore BV!

Bottega's have such soft, smooshy leather....

Both brands are my favorites. Between the two, I would suggest Bal Giant City since BV is a little bit too mature for a young girl IMO.

I vote for the Bottega. If you take good care of it, it should last you a lifetime.
