I got the Treesje Avalon in Stone Shine. I'll post pics when it arrives! I got the regular sized one which breezie was nice enough to check for me and figure out if my macboook would fit!
I'm hoping to use it as my summer handbag and then I will make it my school bag in the fall so I get plenty of use out of it. |

this may be a very random suggestion- but have you looked into harvey's seatbelt bags?
they're not nylon or leather and i swear by them. they come in loads of colors and sizes and i've never seen anything more durable (they're made individually in cali) - i have a bunch of clutches and shoulder bags by them, but my little sister just picked up their apple exclusive laptop bag from the apple store. it is GORGEOUS, more or less looks like this one off their website, but it's designed for a laptop, so the inside is divided up into two sections: a padded side and an un-padded for books & things. also has tons of little pen organizers and zipper pockets on the inside- and style wise, it's definitely an upgrade over a nylon bag. best part, they're very light weight. i'd also recommend the executive tote style, it's definitely big enough to accomodate everything you will need! ps- their laptop bags come in two sizes, one thats basically a laptop "sleeve" and one thats an actual tote bag that has padding for a laptop in a separate section http://www.seatbeltbags.com/treecycl...exclusive.html us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-83994635520088_2044_35729816 |

Thanks for the suggestion about the seat belt bag, but it's a little more out there I think than I'm looking for. I actually had one about 6 years ago when I was in high school and it was bubblegum pink. I loved it back then but it's definitely not my style anymore.

I'd never heard of the sealbelt bag until just now. I really like them, maybe because I haven't seen them before but they look kinda left of centre, or is that saying too much about myself?

Congrats on the new bag! Hope you enjoy it. Let me just add a word, though -- if you're going to be carrying lots of heavy stuff around all the time, carrying it on one side is a great way to possibly injure your back. I had to schlep a 17 inch laptop around Manhattan for work. Three days after I got it I was in pain. I won't carry a backpack, though, so I switched to a rolling bag, which I will admit is stupid looking but not as stupid as a big backpack (I could NEVER find one that I liked). I did find a rolling bag in black patent, which I could live with. Anyway, post pics of your bag when you get her!

I had a back problem several years ago and it is actually more painful for me to carry a traditional bookbag than something on one shoulder. Also, my laptop only weighs like 5 pounds.

jordanjordan, did you by any chance post on a law-school related forum asking about this? I found a thread today where a girl was also knowledgeable about beautiful bags and had the same back problem lol! I bookmarked it- I'm obsessed w/finding the perfect bag now.
