For a while now, I've been trying to find a classic everyday black leather bag (one that will hold up in the rain) and so far I am contemplating an Alexander Wang Coco Duffel. This is coming from someone who was ready to put down a deposit on a 30cm black ardenne Birkin with gold hardware before it sold out. LOL

The problem is, the Alexander Wang Coco is so hard to find.

It seems as though designers are using "safer" designs and less expensive materials because of the economy. I went to the big retail trade show in NYC and a lot of people felt the same way. With that being said, there are still some awesome bags coming out, just not as many bags as there used to be! IMO

I was kind of a slump as well - I'm a big Prada fan, but nothing this season was interesting to me. So, I am now trolling consignment stores looking for deals on older styles or a vintage Louis. So far, it's been pretty good since a lot of folks are selling their bags.

Not in a slump, but I'm getting there. My wishlist has been consistent and even has had a few handbags knocked out because they already are too similar to what I have in my collection already.

Soooooooo many boring/safe designs and then there are pieces that are nice and/or unique that are too similar to what I already have.

Totally in a slump. Probably a good thing though - since joining here in January I have spent a small fortune on purses and my cupboard is stuffed I kind of went a bit crazy! Now I am becoming much more fussy and am using all of my bags one at a time to see what I REALLY like and don't like. The ones I don't like, I am selling.

Although I look here and at other sites almost every day, nothing is grabbing my attention like it was a few months ago. Maybe because it's also between seasons - some new designs are coming out but only in a trickle so far.

Amen...I just stopped shopping (again) on monday, after some damage. Although there is not alot to love, this economy has brought out the bargain hunter deal finder person in me. It's made shopping more fun for me, oddly enough.

I just can't find anything I love as much as my current bag, but that's a good thing!

I think I'll be buying classics right now. I do not generally move in that direction.

I have trimmed my wish list to three.
