Do you mean the all-over crystal minaudieres are amazing (alas I don't have one - yet)

This is her website, some of them are just beyond everthing

http://judithleiber.com/product.cfm?id=7&pos=176

I have to put in a good word for her 'normal' bags. I have one in black lizard and another that I saved from the trash (someone (my friend) thought put she could clean the most amazing patchwork silks and crystals in the washing machine ) I had to work for months to half way restore it to shabby chic. My reward I got to keep the poor little bag.

Even these 'normal' bags make wonderful evening bags with all their little bits and pieces inside. If you get an opportunity to see them IRL check them out too.

I really love the minaudieres. The price of these bags is beyond me ....thus my search for a "real" vintage one. It seems there is also a "big" business in fakes for these bags. Do you know of anyone/anyplace that sells "real" vintage ones? And how to spot fakes?

I was watching Antiques Roadshow today (don't ask)......A woman brought in her mom's collection of Judith Leiber bags from the 60's. They were gorgeous. I think I'm a little too young for them though, plus they're pricey.

I actually bought one for about 60% off at Gilt. It's not in the shape of anything, just a curved clutch with bright swirls. It's very pretty.

However, it just sits in the closet because I don't go to galas very often...although I do have one in November and I'm hoping to take it on its maiden voyage then.

I saw her boutique at South Coast Plaza and it was absolutely stunning!! I only window shopped but her clutches are BEAUTIFUL. I agree with raj though! I can't see myself carrying JL since it's too old for me, too. My consignment store also carries Judith Leiber clutches (not the crystal ones, though). It was over $500 I think. one large one and medium size. And yes, they're authentic! I wanted one but it was too expensive.

Oh yeah, here's the pic of it. The store carries this in green color, though.

Leiber can replace crystals - I think it's $75 minimum for the repair, but it can be done.

I love the bags, and am keeping my eye out for the perfect miniature. My only really concern is how delicate they can be. Someone bumps against it, and it has to be sent off.

Of course, that doesn't stop me from borrowing my DM's... and they make great christmas ornaments!

I love Judith Leiber! But I do agree that I feel a bit too young for the purses. I do have a pair of her sunglasses - they're aviators with ostrich skin and crystals...love them!

Her Factory Store in Cabazon has items at a reduced price. I was there after Christmas during a sale. I have no idea about the pricing of her artistic bags, but some of the simple satin clutches with crystals on them were around $500. There were also ballerina flats for $100. I can't remember exactly what else was there, but I think I remember seeing the bulldog that day.

Considering how much she paid for the mini, they should repair it for free! JKJK.
I don't think she is too concerned about 1 or 2 missing crystals, but I will let her know about the service.
Thank you!
