Hello,
I am going back to school this January and was wondring what would be a great bag to use for school? I have no clue and have been looking at different styles. I would like input for anybody. Any style, that you think would be good for school? From Pelhams to the New Jackie. What do you think would be the best for school? I have been thinking something like a tote but again I have no clue on it. I am an open book so anything will help decide. I am looking for the perfect back to school (7 years) bag. Please help and voice what you think. Thank you very much. |

School = books
so I wouldn't think Jackie. If you like the Pelham that might be OK just check the handle structure - I think the Bostons are great for work/school/everyday esp in GG leather because the leather handles are supported by a continuous strip if leather right round the bag which supports the weight. |

Sorry to be off topic and recommending other brand.. if you are looking for a school bag that would last your for 7 years. I would go for the LV neverfull.. it made to hold school book and it will last forever.. I have mine for 2 years already still holding up great..

What about the joy totes, or the chain horsebit bags?

I agree with papertiger in that the Pelham is a good choice. I used it for school also but I'd like to point out that I never carried large textbooks in it. Honestly, I would never carry any large textbook in any Gucci bags just to be on the safe side with the handles.
The large chain horsebit is also good because it is so spacious. However, it's a heavy bag on its own and with stuff added in it, it'll be even heavier. I think another great option now is the large Sukey. It has double handles also for better support and awesome space. Plus it's light. And I recently just saw the brown guccisima at the store and OMG it was amazing!!! I wish it was available when I bought mine =( Anyways, good luck! |
