Default Silver leather, is it hard to take care?
Anyone has any problems with Guccissima silver leather (or any silver leather or trimmings on bags)? I am looking at a silver pouch and am wondering if it is hard to take care of the silver leather. Is it easily scratched? rubbed off? or it is as durable as any Gucci leather goods?

I have a bronze-gold Guccissima leather hobo, and yes, it scratches easily compared to my brown, red, camel and black Guccissima bags. The wear is most apparent on the piping.

That being said, I do have a Guccissima heart keychain in silver and I used it everyday for about 6 months. It got tossed in my bag and held in my hand, and the colour is still even and perfect.

Maybe it has to do with the batch. I've heard some of the Guccissima metallic pieces really suffered with wear while others didn't.

Agreed but I think it also has to do with the finish. The leather hearts on my Boston do scratch easily prob because they have that very smooth mirrored finish while other Gucci metallic leather is still 'normal' leather texture (prob more like the GG guccissma) and is less prone.

My friend has a guccisma silver leather hobo that she purchased from Woodbury a few years back and it still looks great. I would buy a silver guccisma leather bag if that color sell again.

Peski, does it rubbed off at the piping, showing raw leather? Or just colour rubbed off? Does it crack and peel off? I've got a friend who has a Boston with metallic, patent leather sort ot trimmings, her handles and trimmings started to peel after 6 months or daily use.

What I am eyeing on is a smooth leather silver pouch which will be used everyday, and I really need it to last.

It seems like it's going to be my luck, if i get a good batch or not

This is the gold Guccissima hobo I am referring to:

It's almost a distressed gold leather, slouchy and soft. The wear is on the piping and it's rubbed off. It's still gold but doesn't have the same sheen to it, if you know what I mean.
