I got this bag almost one month ago and only have good things to say about it. This bag makes me very happy! So far, I received a lot of compliments on it from colleagues and people I meet randomly.

Thank you. The bag itself is heavy because of the thick leather and the hardware. I don't think the hardware alone makes it heavier though. I don't mind because I tend to carry heavy handbags containing my iPad and some textbooks for university and work.

That bag is positively gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!! My Marrakech weighs a ton too but I just complain and wear it for the same reason. Gucci's leathers seem indestructible. I can understand the compliments. Enjoy. The bag is gorgeous!!

The leather is incredible. Someone touched my bag with their greasy hands a few weeks ago and it left a big mark I thought was going to stay. One hour later, surprise! it disappeared. Given the extent of the initial damage, I was fairly impressed. And the scratches go away after a few minutes without doing anything to the leather.

It's funny you mention this because I just don't baby my bags. I buy them with using them in mind. I've never ever sold a bag. With this, I wore my bag just the other day while I was slathered in sunscreen without thinking about the bag. I think the patina in the handles have now darkened probably due to the lotion but I love it. It reflects me. Carefree and casual! You will probably not have to worry about Gucci leather. From the look of your bag, it looks hearty and strong! Also, keep in mind, that Gucci offers superb repair service should you ever need it. Enjoy!
