Default My new D ring is covered in glitter....
I got my new D ring hobo today. The seller wraped it in glittered tissue paper. Now the bag is covered in glitter inside and out. It is also not like new as she said. There is some rubbing on the corners. I love the bag, but help what should I do? I did ask her for a serious credit--any other advice? I paid 355 plus shipping less my 10% coupon in case that is helpful in your advice. THANKS

well honestly it's nothing to get upset about i'd just take a lint roller to it to get the glitter off as for it being slightly rubbed on the corners...is it that big a deal? if it has no problems otherwise i wouldn't worry about it, i'd just keep it and enjoy my bag.

I know what you are saying but it is not just a little bit of glitter. It is the fine kind and even rubbed into the leather. A lint roller doesnt even get half of it off. it basically now looks like a schimmer bag--no joke. All I am saying that if I knew it would have glitter rubbed in I wouldnt have bought it.

If you gently shake the bag does some of the glitter come off? It should all come off in time - I would buy a baby's hair brush and see if the glitter dust brushes out before you 'take action'

I agree it was a really stupid thing for the seller to do - she prob thought she was making a nicer package .

I agree she was probably making a nicer package. I have calmed down some. I will try the hair brush thing. Just for me personally if I am going to spend money I want to get what I pay for. I just think it devalued it. I am getting over it. Thanks for the responses.

One more thing---If I can get past the glitter it does have problems otherwise. It was listed LIKE NEW and there is pretty decent wear and rubbing on the corners. I am sure I am sounding like a picky (you know what) but havent you waited all week to get a package and then when it arrives it is not as you expected? its a real buzz kill.

Can you take a few pictures and post them here? It will give us a better idea and give you more suggestions as what you should do. If I were selling, I wouldn't list it as "like new" if there are obvious wear and tear on the corners.

Well heres the thing assuming you can get the glitter off. Can you get past the wear on the bag and be able to enjoy it? If not I wouldn't bother trying to get the glitter off (if you can) I'd see if I could send it back and get a refund. I don't know nothing about buying used bags online (I never do because I want my bags to be new and I have a fear of paying a lot of money and receiving a fake) I have heard of people not being happy with things they bought of ebay or similar sites and when the buyer wont refund money or take the bag back I've read where people do reverse charges. You may or may not be able to do that but it's just a idea.

Hi OP and sorry if you are not happy with your bag. If you are unsatisfy with it, wait to see what her response is. And if you guys can't come up with an agreement, you should ask for a refund since it is SNAD. Good luck!

I did finally get most of the glitter off and the seller gave me a 50.00 credit for it being describes as like new, but it has wear. It is actually really pretty and I may do a reveal after all. Thanks for everyone's advice!

Let's post the worn corners so that we can give you a better advice. The seller seems to be reasonable. But again if the worn corners or used signs make you uneasy, you might want to return it to get full refund and use that money to get a new bAg during the sale.
