I found these two Gucci bags on different sites but am a bit confused over the fact that they both have the same code numbers on them even though they are different fabrics.
Is maybe one of them not authentic?

They dont look authentic to me at all...but please use the authentication thread

Gucci uses the serial number as the model number. Example - the gg medium boston model number is 193603 so the guccissima leather medium boston will have the same model number regardless of the material it's made. You should get the websites authenticated first before you buy.
