I was tempted to buy a pair of L.A. platforms today, but sadly they didn't fit and were too narrow. As much as I love them, they were way too narrow and tight in the toebox, even in the larger sizes. I hope the Roma platforms from FW '08 have a larger toebox.

However, I did buy a pair of bamboo doll flats in black patent. I really, I mean, really need to control myself, just a week ago I bought a wallet and a week before that a bag and two pairs of shoes! But I really needed a nice pair of flats too, so anyway here are the pics, I love the bamboo detail, the bow and the bamboo ends are so cute - and the patent is as soft as ever.

Nice shoes! Maybe your self-control will come when your bill arrives?

It had better come to me... I've spent so much this season. It's so hard to stop - I shouldn't visit the boutiques until the sale ends.

As far as comfort, I can't really comment because I haven't worn them for long periods of time. They are really comfy when you put them on though.

Pretty flats! Congrats.

I can relate to the lack of self control- I've bought 4 purses in the last month

Yes, the sale is still on in HK. The further reduction hasn't even started yet - the sale here started really late. All the other brands were wrapping up their sales when Gucci started.

It must be hard to avoid the boutiques in HK. I tend to think of HK as just one giant shopping mall.

I'm sure it's pretty humid right now so maybe the comfort of your AC will prevent you from going shopping too.

It is hard, especially when an area I always visit (Causeway bay) has 3 boutiques! Hong Kong has 7 boutiques, which is a lot considering the size of the city.

The humidity is really uncomfortable now, but what's worse is that so far it has been raining everyday. I will still need to make a visit to the store to collect my wallet, but I think it will be when the sale is over.

Aww, my grandmother who lives in HK has been complaining about the rain too.

Three boutiques in Causeway Bay?? I only know of the ones in Sogo and Times Square (BTW, I love the bakery inside City Super).

Whenever you get your wallet just go in and get out. You can do it!
