how to convince the DH you NEED a new bag!

Hi everyone...I have yet to get the gucci D ring hobo that I so desire, the MJ Alyona had to come first (as I can't get it later down the road..) so after the $1500 investment on the MJ...how do I convince the DH that the gucci is still a necessity??

Tell him that you are going to pass it over to your future DD or if you already have a DD.. tell him its an investment!

I dont have a DD yet.. so I used that excused for our future DD!

Or tell him that the bag is on sale!! jack up the price and show him the supposedly sale price! Im soo bad

I can not convince my DH either, because MEN can not understand it, and my DH always aksed me :"why I need more than 1" and " why I have to change the bag" every week or have it need to matching with clothes??? So just tell him, you need to spend some money for something then buy a new bag...hide it until next month to use. he can not remember! And if you have alot, it's meant alot....you can tell him if he asked " is it New?" you can say :"no, it's not! I used a couple time..."

Hmm... tell him that life is short and you just want it damnit! Plus, guys spend way too much on electronics and their cars! Sooooooo.. that is why you need more clothes, handbags, accessories, etc!! Good luck!

I always put the guilt trip on him because he spends just as much on his car hehe. Other than that the classic- gift, sale, in the back of my closet line usually does the trick. If not just keep annoying him with the "I just need it" line lol.

Tell him that the bag will be discontinued and if you don't get it now, you will be looking for it until you purchase it.

haha all the responses are all so good! Good job ladies. I'm in the same boat as you. No DD, only one son. But i usually tell him that I don't "need" a bday present, mother's day, or vday present if I purchase the bag now

It usually works

But then again, im the type of person that will rather buy bags throughout the year, rather than on "special occasions only" If you know what i mean.

Also, I don't see a gucci in your collection so you may wanna go that route. Tell him, you are dying to have one gucci bag and this will be it.. hahaha - it's usually not it, but I tend to use that line pretty often... good luck, let us know what happens!!!

I was going to try that angle....I don't have a gucci...but this cute gucci keyring and nothing for it to match! The bag I just got is just so damn expensive...so, it's for sure going to be it for the rest of the year...(unless he surprises me once again!) I do have a b-day and x-mas before the end of the year too....hmmmmmmmm

You may not want to do this but I charged a gucci on our joint charge and when he saw it I said I am probably returning it so not to worry it would come off on the next statement. Well, he forgot about it and I kept the bag! So I got away with that one but now I have my own charge to buy my guccis!
