YES!!!! I have been spending the last half hour reading Vlad's instructions so I don't screw up again! Thanks!!!! Do you think there is any chance this bag is reduced somewhere? I was looking for it in the black color although the gray is quite nice. I still can't believe I returned this bag!!!! Thanks again! Sorry I'm so spazzed at downloading photos!!

Isn't this fairly new? I doubt it's marked down anywhere yet, at least not that I've seen anywhere

Fall sale is coming up so definitely keep an eye out for it!

Oh, and don't worry about the pics not showing up correctly. I don't ever try to do it from Saks' page anymore coz it really gets messed up.

Truthfully? Because I'm a shmuck! I am so disappointed with myself. I was influenced by my DH who said why do you need it and my mom who thought it was an exact replica of one I already have. Truth be told, it is extremely similar but the other won't last as long and after going through this entire forum, I can honestly say I still love this bag! I'm on a hunt and those who know me know I share so if I find it I will PM you immediately with details!

This is one of the few times that I think the gray version is actually much nicer than the black. And, it's still a neutral color so it will go with a lot of clothing in most people's wardrobes.

You know Peski - it's funny you say that because I love the way that bag is pictured in gray too. I have to see it IRL. I don't own a gray. The closest to gray I have is a charcoal which passes as black. I always thought that if I deviated away from my basic black and brown bags it would be a Bal in Purple! I am trying to picture that gray as a neutral with all my clothes. - My wardrobe is comprised of mostly browns and black. It really does bring out the beauty of the bag in that color.

This is on pre-order? How did you get it in the first place? Did they decide to re-issue it? This is a very cute everyday bag and it fits my style well! I hope they have some kind of sale somewhere.

OMG! I checked the Saks bag @ Gucci. I ran over there today and I think I love the gray even better! I hate that the price went up $200 but when the SA tried it on with her brown jacket, it took on a brownish cast and when another SA tried it on wearing a black jacket it looked dark gray but not charcoal gray on her. I then wore it around the store (I happened to be wearing a gray velvet suit) and placed it on navy, black, etc, and the bag lent itself to every color. I can see this particular bag being an all year staple color! With tax it will cost me $1680.

I just need to sleep on it or I will faint! If I don't stop dreaming about the bag, it will come home with me this week. I have a 25 year old Gucci leather wallet that my mother used and gave to me and it is falling apart so I told the SA I have to save somewhere and showed her what I like. Hopefully one will go on sale and I will get a break 'cause it's going to take me a while to recoup $$! - Soooo excited though! If I tell you the leather is magnifique, I am not kidding! It is a true gray very soft pebbled leather which I don't see having a problem if I get caught in the rain.

I will keep everyone apprised! - One last thing... I smartly wore the hobo that we thought was so similar to this, and there is no comparison. My other hobo hangs low and has an entirely different look. I just gave it to my daughter so I must buy this bag!

It sounds even better than I thought it would, I'm so glad you shared that info about the gray taking on different hues!

I have been searching for my HG bag in gray for the last 2 years, I think I better make a special trip to see this one. (My husband thanks you from the bottom of our credit card, lol).

Hi Izzy_W! I don't know why it's a special order @ Saks because the store itself has it in stock and so does the Gucci boutique. To confuse matters even more, I just got an email response from an SA in Seattle that she found me the black bag @ $1300. With shipping and tax it will be close to $1500. Believe it or not, I really think I want the gray. I never thought I'd consider a gray bag before but this one has such a richness to it IRL! It's almost like a highlighted black. I just wish I could get it at a discount!!!!

Peski, since you have been seeking the perfect gray bag, IMO, I think this is it! I, personally, am not a logo wearer so this has indiscreet logoing going on which only a fellow Gucci connoiseur would know. Then again, I am a hypocrite, because the leather wallet I am eyeing is a Guccima leather. I justify that since it is hidden in my bag. Oh well!

Thanks for letting me share my obsession with all of you here in the Gucci forum!

Oh I understand not wanting to wear the logo wherever you go. My mom and I went to the Gucci store in Chicago and she saw this really nice hobo for me but it had the Gucci logo all over it! I really like hobos and this one was cute, but it was sooooo typical "Gucci" if you know what I mean. I am a Burberry fan and I stay away from their typical tartan/check pattern. I hope you find your Gucci hobo at a good price! I would definitely not pass this one up especially if you dream about it. I think that's a sign that you and this Gucci belong together! IMHO, I think the gray featured on the website is really pretty and I bet it looks better in real life!

I was thinking of buying a Gucci as well since they make bags that fit my style and it looks like this one might do it! I was looking at the Indy but I prefer something with a zipper or snap closure.
