Gucci or LV? need advice

debating to buy LV bag or Gucci... my husband doesn't like LV only because it seems everybody has it and he likes the design of Gucci bags better. but I have to consider its durability and quality. which bag has better durability and quality? first time buying designer bag.
need your advice

what do YOU like better?? quality of both is good...i own both and i can't say one is better than the other quality wise, it is all about the design

but heres my theory...whenever a member post a gucci vs. lv in the gucci subforum they are usually leaning towards gucci anyways...not sure if that is correct in your case...but if it is, just go with your gut! you will be SO MUCH happier! :)

DH doesnt like LV as well but I love LV and have a few items. But Gucci is my first choice.

It s up to you darling..You re the one who will be carrying it. Your hubby is right, LV is everywhere, especially the knock offs, but go to an LV and a Gucci boutique and look at what they have, I m sure you ll be drawn to a bag..

I agree with luxurina that you have to go down to the boutique and see/try on the handbags and I bet you'll know what you want. I do own both brands and I have no quality issues with either one of them.

Ok, well as much as i LOOOOOOOOOOVE gucci.... i did buy hubby a LV wallet for Christmas 2 years ago

But his next one will be gucci. I know alot of the LV lovers will say the quality of LV is better, but his LV mono wallet is still ok. Not great but there are some threading that seems to be opening up. My vote is for gucci, just because he says he doesn't want LV.

are there any actual styles you're considering or you just want to know which brand is better? if it's the latter, it's hard to generalize each designer's huge ranges of collections, prices, quality and say which is "better." if you're speaking solely of the logo canvas bags, LV is probably more durable because its canvas is coated. pretty much indestructible. but that also depends on which specific canvas bag you're referring to - mono/damier is coated canvas, mini lin is not. vernis is patent leather and easily scratched. i can go on and on. it's impossible to generalize each designer and compare.

LV and Gucci are both good quality. I'd look at the different bags and see which styles you like better.

one of the many reasons that make me like LV is that it nver has sales.!! Youre buying this bag today and weeks later its on sale for 40% off.. thats not gonna happen for LV bag. their styles are also nice and very classy

I own lots of LV and Gucci bags.. and I love them all (quality should be 9/10 pretty the same).

Just go to their stores and pick out the design that u like. Its you who wear the bag lol.. not the hubby

I actually have both brands of bags, and I love them and don't see quality issues with either. I like certain styles of LV, and I like certain styles of Gucci. I agree with the other posters who say to pick the bag for the design. Good luck!!

I also have both brands, but I would have to go with Louis Vuitton handbags. They are just so sturdy and easy to maintain.
