New to the Forum. I did post on another thread, but maybe somebody out there can help me. I have a Gucci Jackie O bag with the large "G" logo that was attached to the leather strap that closes the bag. Somehow, the gold stud that holds the logo to the strap got lost. I am trying to have this replaced, but can't seem to do it. I have already sent the bag to the Repair Center in Secaucus where I told them beforehand that the bag was a gift and I do not have the receipt. They told me to ship the bag to them with a note stating that, give them my credit card number so they can charge me the $20 evaluation fee, and they would contact me about the repair charge. Three weeks later I get the bag back, with a note stating that because I do not have the receipt, they will not repair the bag. I told them that at the beginning....and to add insult to injury they charged me the $20.00 eval fee. I sent the bag to Artbag in Manhattan and they told me they could repair the bag, but the stud color was slightly off. I went ahead and had the repair done to a tune of another $100.00 and the slightly off color is more than slight. I now have a Gucci bag that looks like junk. I have tried everywhere I could think of to see if this bag could be restored to it's original condition, to no avail. Is there anybody out there that has any advice for me? I am heartbroken about this bag. Thans for any help you can give me.

jersey....if you got the bag as a gift why not ask whoever bought it for you to accompany you....from what i know the bags have a "warranty" of a year and they will fix stuff like that for free....and if the person that got you the gift doesnt have a recepit its no problem because they should be in the system!!! good luck! :)

ive never heard of a $20 evaulation fee....that sucks :(

[coco] word up. we do more than just teach. i teach at juvi so i'm refereeing on the daily (besides other "teacher duties" like mentoring, counseling, et cetera)

Go teachers! Yes, we work hard for the money... That purse on my arm is, yes, you guessed it, one ENTIRE paycheck... but that's why I only have ONE statement gucci at the moment and ONE dior... I like picking out my absolute favorite...

So teachers... do you wear your "super hot" bags to school? I never have and probably WILL never wear my gucci indy or my dior saddle bags to school... just wouldn't want it to get dirty...

I wear the burberry tote in my pic and in the spring I wear a prada tote... I always keep a little tiny gucci (ponchette) or coach or kate spade or something IN my bag with my wallet, cellphone, and keys, but somehow, the gucci is too fancy and I also wouldn't want to ruin it. Do you wear them to school?

so i just got back from my cousin's wedding this weekend and I wanted to share a photo with my favorite gucci lovers! my sister and I have the pelham (her white and me brown) and we both wore it to the wedding...and coincidently...so did my cousin's wife. lol!

I do take my bags - but they are kept in a locked drawer all day!
