I am looking for the perfect evening bag and I definitely found it. A good picture is by PF user smalls in this thread (link should go straight to her post):

I love it! Mentions it was from Saks and at a sale, and seems to be from back in Feb.

I am guessing I can only get this off eBay now? I have been following the outlet sales thread but it doesn't seem to be in there any time recently =\ I do see the wristlets though!

I want to know, how much could this go for (original price as well as roughly a sale price)? I really have no clue! This could be a bag I'm chasing after that could be out of my price range... I only see the wristlets on eBay at this time as well.

I got my GG crystal version at the spring/summer sale... it should be available by Fall/winter sale too? Just guessing. It is as awesome piece, you can use the shoulder strap, remove it as a clutch and as a wristlet!

oh is this bag still in the Gucci boutiques?? I thought it was maybe out of them and sold out haha. Only because I could not find this evening bag on the website at all and saw none on eBay and then about that Saks sale! Well that would be good news if it is!
How much is this evening bag originally? I can't seem to find a price, I am so curious! I do love the plain leather version, not sure what colors are available other than what I've seen in the other threads.

Hi there butterflies. The gold evening bag retails for $695 but I got really lucky and managed to get it for 70% off almost a year ago. Since then I saw some suede versions of it at the outlets (I think in blue and a mustard color) but the prices were higher. I think that Saks had it on sale in smooth black leather during the summer, but most likely have sold out of it by now. You may want to call the outlets and just see if they have any. I got another style Babouska evening bag in pewter during this past summer from Saks on sale. I don't know if it ever went to the outlets but if you like it you may also want to try the outlets to see if they have them. It retails for the same price. Here is a pic of both
