I did purchase a halfmoon Gucci bag from stylefrops.com 2 years ago and they did not include authentic card too. But it's not a big deal for me as long as the bag is 100% authentic

Did you post photos in the Authenticate This Gucci thread? Cos Gucci bags do not come with authenticity cards. The 'controllato' cards are just a usless little bit of paper that imo do not add or take away from the bags authenticity. That's my 2 cents. But my point is that you probably do not have a knock off.. You can post pics in this thread and someone will have a look for you.

Hi! I have read somewhere in this forum that authentic gucci bags does not attach the controllato card to the bag, therefore there is no reason for the controllato card to have a hole. Is this true?
If I saw a bag that has a controllato tag hanging from the bag, then it must be fake?

Yes, it is most likely fake. Many of the fakes have the attached controllato card.

Check out ebay seller Aegiale
She sells authentic vintage guccis (she has several jackie o bags right now) and she has a great guide to vintage. I just bought a horsebit flap bag from her a couple weeks ago and I love it!

hey
just bought a gucci bag today and something is bothering me, its probably just my overactive imagination. my mum and I decided we liked a handbag on display that we had seen earlier so we asked if we could see it, at that moment another customer was just trying it on (like on her shoulder) and then returned it to the SA. mum and i decided that we like it so decided to purchase it. i asked for a new one to the SA and she just said she just got this one from the stock room for the previous customer. so i was just like okay.

we were in selfridges in london it cost £390, had all the paper packaging inside to fill it up etc. now at home i was just looking at it and maybe im just too much of a perfectionist but i thought the alignement of the material could be a little better around the edges. the serial number is 137396 and then 467891, behind the 'flap' inside the bag with the 2nd row of number under the first. it all seemes okay i was just thinking would it be possible for someone to switch a bag so discretely without someone noticing in the world famous selfridges? oh yer there was no care card with the bag but im not sure if this comes with all guccis? someones reassurance wouldn't go a miss! thanks! i could post pictures later if necessary xxx
