hi, i have a question, i bought a Race top handle (black soft leather) and its beautiful. I have a question about the packing, it came with plasic over handles and plasic stickers that covers the hardware, wich was really good, my only concern is the dustbag. Its brown with one large gucci print (not the old ones with prints all over) with stiff straps, with are dark brown. Its just that the dustbag doesnt look very "professional", the stitches arent perfect and the fabric is slightly twisted, it just seem like there wasnt that much effort put into making the dustbag as it was making the actual bag. i know that this isnt a big deal, its just that im very picky and i want eveything perfect!
Has anyone else noticed this problem?

i don't think any designer handbag comes with plastic wrapped over the handles.. that's one of the main signs that a handbag is fake.

This isn't a problem. Guci changed their dustbags recently and everything you've described sounds normal to me.

No nec. That is a bad assumption. Departmental stores like Saks, Nordstrom etc may put (and I am not sure if they do) plastic on the handles to prevent rubbing. They can add whatever protective wrapping to the bags as they like as to protect the bag as it is being transferred around.

hi, i got a gift of a Gucci bag and not really sure about its authenticity. the tag on the inside seems to be attached backwards with the gucci logo on the inside and the serial number on the outside. otherwise, everything seems real. can someone tell me if this ever happens with Gucci bags? maybe factory outlet ones?

I agree with you 100%... My mother and I purchased a bag from Gucci store in Sydney... The store assistant went to the back room, got the bag out of it's dust bag and it was all wrapped up in plastic- covering the handles and all metal bits. The S.A. took them all off and placed it back in it's dust bag.

hi all, thank you for all the tips you guys posted previously. i would love to know some tips on the famous INDY gucci, or guccissima bag. do they have same "horsebit canvas" for linning? i know dif. color of guccissima might have dif. color of the "horsebit" signature (lining).
TIA

For everyone wondering about the "real" vs. "fake" dust bag: I just bought something from the Gucci store, and the dust bag is a dark camel-ish color with a slightly glittery 'GUCCI' printed in the centre of the bag (but shifted a bit more towards the bottom). The dust bag is soft, but still kind of stiff, if that makes sense. Stitching wasn't perfect.

That being said, I agree with Miss Gucci - the best place to buy a Gucci is in the Gucci store!! If I were to ever sell my authentic Gucci's on E-bay, I would never cut an amazing deal on them, given how much I spent on them originally... so if it seems to good to be true, it's probably fake!

Just wanted to add that this is indeed true of all of the Gucci's that I have bought both protective thick plastic on the handles and GG plastic covering the hardware - all purchased from legitimate sources.
