I took my Gucci Continental Wallet into the same boutique I bought it from a little while back in an embarrassingly dirty condition and asked if they'd clean it or provide information on how I could redeem the material to its former glory. I was rather disappointed to hear the SA suggest I take it to a drycleaner after saying "we don't do that here".
So before I reluctantly leave my precious designer purse in the hands of an unknown drycleaner, I wanted to ask the lovely ladies at TPF if they've had the fabric on their wallets cleaned successfully and without any negative side effects, and if so how, by who and when? I'm so scared to have it cleaned that I've put off doing so for months. BTW I'm in Australia so if you're recommending products please keep in mind that they may not be available to me in my country. TIA.

C'mon lovely ladies. Has nobody ever had the fabric on their Gucci wallets cleaned?

When I went shopping in Gucci Hawaii, the SA said Gucci DOES drycleaning services for their merchandise. You should try calling Gucci corporate and get the right info because sometimes SA's do not know what they're talking about.

Oh and my husband has Gucci sneakers with monogrammed WHITE canvas and he used Jason Mark shoe cleaner. It came out like new! I had him clean my Dior white leather purse too, but we don't have the premium brush yet so he couldn't do much with the regular brush (too coarse).

The Gucci fabric is quite durable, you can try the Coach fabric cleaner w/ a soft white cloth and blot. I have had a few successes on my Gucci fabric bags. I heard that upscale drycleaner like French laundry type does a good job on cleaning designer purses. My Gucci boutique has recommended a French laundry place nearby to me.

did you ever find a place to clean your wallet? I did the same, i've been putting it off due to shear embarrassment of the condition and when i called the gucci store you could hear the annoyed under tone of her voice when she said...."we don't do that here!"
