Bought my 1st Gucci - Large Sukey - have a "stupid" question?
Like the title says, I bought my very first Gucci and chose the large Sukey and bought it from gucci.com. I chose the one with the black guccissima trim and got it on Monday. I absolutely LOOOOOVE this bag!
 Anyway, along with all the authenticity cards, tag, dust bag, etc. that came with the bag, it also came with a little square "sample" of the GG fabric in a little pouch. This may be a "stupid" question, but what is that for? Thanking you in advance for your answer!~ |

I don't think it's really for anything in particular. It might be useful if you need to match items in a store to the bag without taking it with you?

LOL! I just got off the phone with Gucci customer service and asked them about it. They said that it was probably a "manufacturing mistake from Italy" for them to include that swatch in the pocket along with the rest of the stuff.
Weird, because it came in its own little plastic pouch as if it had some type of purpose!

I got a swatch in mine too!!! I got mine from Nordstrom in Seattle and the fabric swatch came inside the zip pocket on the inside of the bag along with the cards, etc. I wondered what it was for also but felt silly asking and assumed they call came with it
 . I thought maybe if you needed it for a repair??? Probably not... I don't know!

I know... I still think it's weird for it to be a "mistake", especially since others also have it or have seen it. It was in the inside pocket, in its own little bag along with the cards. Oh well - I'll keep it!
Oh, I have no doubt that this won't be my last Gucci - there are sooo many bags I see that I want!

I am going to call Gucci and ask. There is no way this is a coincidence or mistake. Mine was in a little protector bag (it was not really a bag) thingy too. Maybe it is something new they are doing? Hang on to it - don't throw it away!!! We will figure this out yet
