Does anyone own the real Gucci fabric Pelham bag? I saw one on eBay (seller is portraitofclass) but I have doubts about it's authenticity even though the seller insists it's "authentic as advertised" - is that the legal way to say no or something?

I compared to the real thing and the only difference I see is on the print on the metal button on the strap going across the middle (see pic). The real one has some kind of text on it but this one just has a wavy line - seller said this was probably a regional difference. Can anyone confirm the authenticity of this bag?

Hi Gucci fans! I recognize some names from another board I am a member of. Or maybe I do more of you and you just have different posting ids...Anyway...

I just became a member of BagBorroworSteal and received my first bag rental! It's absolutely gorgeous and I wanted to make sure if it was the real deal. I have 4 other Gucci bags but Gucci seems to be so inconsistent with their hardware. My one Gucci tote has GUCCI on the leather zipper pull and has no leather around the entire zipper. My other Gucci Hobo I just bought has no GUCCI on the zipper pull and leather all around the zipper..

So what do you think of this bag? Can anyone compare the details to an authentic one of theirs?

Sorry I believe this bag is fake. It looks like the edges around the sipper closure and authentic tab is painted to look like leather edge (the brown on the edges). It normally looks like this on fake bags I have seen.
