Arrow 85th Anniversary Leather Boston Bag came...

It's bittersweet... this has got to be the most beautiful handbag ever made in my opinion, but I just think it is too big for me. I guess I should give up on the bostons. I love them, and I mean LOVE THEM, but I just can't get used to carrying a big bag. It would be perfect if I liked carrying my bags on my arm or hand, but I usually don't. I want to cry. So I'm making myself part with it unfortunately, if I could afford to keep it just to stare at every day I would, but I know I can't right now.

But, as promised, here are the pictures.

As usual, excuse the babysitting garb.

As you can see it easily fits on my shoulder but I just don't feel comfortable with the size for me. Very hard decision because it really is the most beautiful bag I have ever seen... just not for me I guess. Maybe someday.

It's a sad day for me!

It's one of the most beautiful bags I've ever seen too... Sorry you feel you need to let go of it. Why not try the 85th hobo version in white? They are flatter and should be more comfortable.

guccime,

it's an awesome purse! I personally don't think it's too big on you. I've seen girls with big bags that look too overwhelming on them. This one doesn't look like that at all! But if you don't feel comfy with it, then it's best to let it go...

Thanks gucciabbey and iwantmygucci.

I was actually thinking of the hobo instead too. I just hope I can FIND one. It's getting hard to track them down. :( It's a bummer I really love the boston style better but I just can't get use to big bags I guess. It doesn't seem to LOOK bad on me at all... I guess I am just not used to such big bags??

I'm definitely going to start looking for an 85th hobo instead though. Not the huge ones, the smaller sized ones (they make REALLY BIG hobos that I've seen that would be way too big on me I think). Sighhhhh... here's to starting the search all over again haha.

It's sad that you did not feel right. I think the bag looks GREAT on you. I saw the hobo once at the Cabazon outlet about a yr ago (the leather is really really soft), but did not purchase it. I'm kind of regretting now.

It is so beautiful and sophisticated looking... too bad. I don't do large bags well either. But that does look good on you.

I'm starting my quest for the medium (the smaller size is called medium right?) 85th hobo as we speak... hopefully I will catch sight of one soon. :) Calling outlets first and then going to have to resort to stalking e bay for an authentic one.

Oh man you guys are making me want to keep it now haha.
Maybe I am just being weird, and would like it more on me when I am not wearing sweatpants... lol...
I'll have to think about it.

I think it looks great! I am only 5ft and petite so I can understand not wanting to be overwhelmed by a bag but that seriously looks like it fits you nicely.. but of course you have to be comfy carrying it around .. I think it looks super...

If you notice the picture on Ann's it doesn't look like the hobo is much smaller than the one you have now. I wonder if it comes in a smaller size....

Oh nooo! I think it looks great on you, but in the end it's really what you feel comfortable with. Sorry to hear that it didn't work out. :-(.
