HM I think your and Shars will be fine. The serial numbers were accurate, she should be sending you the receipts that were in the pic and you will know as soon as you touch the leather.

On another note the purple hobo arrived and it is the real deal! I am already pairing it with shoes lol...hmmm could go well with the Christian Louboutin gold foxtrots with purple trim :)

Someone please help!!!! Should I purchase this bag over the white bowler due to the fact of how dirty that bag is? Do you girls think the dirt will come off of the white? Need advice!!!!!!! They are both great bags however I've lomnged for the white bowler but Im afraid its just going to be too dirty. Thanks girls

Hi JENN, You have to have white bag treated by Gucci, you can't try to clean it yourself because it will get damaged. Gucci will clean and condition the leather and your bag will look gorgeous white again, however, it will cost you some money...

Jenn, if you've always had your heart set on the white bowler, you should stick to your guns. otherwise, if you buy another Blondie style/color at this moment, you may still yearn for and will look to buy the white bowler down the road.

but i honestly don't think that the white Blondie listed is in such grave condition as most are making it out to be. yes, it is somewhat dirty but it appears more to be dirt on the surface of the bag and not soiled in a way that has penetrated thru the leather (as obviously seen in some other designer bags like Balenciaga-i.e. natural oils darkening the handles). also, there seems to be no exterior leather peeling (causing the pipings to expose) nor extensive damages done to it; just your run-of-the-mill daily use and regular wear (especially if worn and used more frequently) which will show significantly on white bags moreso than darker colored purses. but i do agree that a Gucci boutique can professionally maintain the bag w/out a problem.

on a side note, i actually commend and respect these types of sellers who are upfront about the condition of the items they sell-this seller included almost 20 photos illustrating the bag's condition. some sellers don't even have the balls to disclose all of the pertinent information needed for buyers to make an informed decision (how about that infamous "MKA Olsen Chanel bag" that recently went for $2700+ (original ret $1200) on ebay? the seller stated "like new" but the winning bidder said the condition was not as "excellent" as was described).

let's respect-i believe sellers don't like to hear when their transactions are being put down (even when the items are not in the best conditions), thanks.

An alarming number of sellers out there call bags "like new" or "gently carried" when we can clearly see from the pictures that this is not even close to being true. Worse yet, some sellers take pictures in lighting or at angles where wear or damage is hidden or not obvious. When sellers are actually honest and upfront, BooYah's right - they deserve our respect!
