I'll admit...I used to be one of those people who thought that the St. Louis was a terrible investment. All that money for a canvas bag. What a ripoff, right?
Boy was I wrong!

I've been looking for a good every day bag, and I've owned a purse in almost every Premier bag designer...Balenciaga, Chanel, LV, YSl, etc. but none of them were quite what I was looking for.
I also used to insist that my purse HAD to be leather and HAD to be able to close. But as I read through the Goyard threads and saw how much people loved their St. Louis, I got pretty curious.
I live in SF, so I figured, why not go take advantage of the Goyard boutique? Bought an orange GM and thought it was waayyy to big when I got home. When I went back, the wonderful salesman talked me into trying a light blue GM, which looked a lot better on me. ( And I have to say, much better service at Goyard than I've ever gotten at either Chanel or LV. Just went into LV yesterday to buy my sister a present and just stood there for 10 minutes without acknowledgement. Needless to day, she'll probably be getting something from Goyard instead.)
And of course...I'm now in LOVE with my light blue GM!

I was so hesitant with the GM because I usually just carry around my wallet, some lip gloss, checkbook and I'm 5'4". I also didn't like that there was no zip top, but so far, that hasn't been a problem. I just took a flight, and I could fit so much stuff in the GM! Snack + trench + all of my usual stuff with room to spare, but I can fold in the corners and make it smaller when it's got less stuff.
The best part is that I don't feel like I have to baby it....at all! My dog is a bit drooly, but no problem. Just wipe it right off! I went to the movies and the floor was a little suspicious...no heartbreak on my end.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of the gals who've posted pics and thoughts on your St. Louis! Now I understand what you're all talking about.
Now I just have to figure out how to get rid of some of the other bags that I'll no longer be needing to use...
Well here she is!
Here's a pic of the pup trying to figure out of there are any snacks inside.
This is with a Chameleon XL insert. A little disappointed with how floppy it is, but I love the color. Though the floppiness helps me fold the corners in while making sure the bottom stays stiff.
I'd normally post mod pics, but I just moved and have no full length mirror. Ha! Thanks for stopping by!
