Any idea if the bags are painted there on the spot, or if you just pick your bag and colors and they send it to you weeks later?

You would just pick the bag...discuss the customization choices with the artisans...decide...and off to paris your bag goes... you get it back in a couple of weeks...

I was at Barney's yesterday and spoke with Sheryl who gave me a bit more information about the event. It will be held October 29-30th. A Paris painter will be on-hand to discuss colour choices with you for your initials, stripes, or personal logo. The bag will then be sent to Paris with a turn-around time of 4-6 weeks.

I just saw an ad in the paper for this! It reads, "Customize your Goyard with the symbol or silhouette of your own design. Traditional stripes and monogram also available. Beverly Hills, Fri 10/29 12 - 5 pm, Sat 10/30 12 - 5 pm. 310-276-4400 x5593."

Hey guys! Sorry I've been MIA - internships, school, and work are interfering with my Goyard forum time! Anyways if any of you are in NY and think you'd like a Goyard piece with a silhouette OF YOUR CHOICE (I cannot emphasize enough how awesome this is) I'd def recommend going. Call Barney's to make an appointment to meet with the painter.

I have an appointment for Saturday and I'm super excited! Quite a few of my paper-writing and midterm study breaks have been spent searching for the perfect shape/symbol/special something to have silhouetted. I'm planning on getting a Senat pouch (for pens and pencils) in the second smallest size, color not yet decided, with my initials and the silhouette underneath.

If more people on the forum go to the event we should open another thread dedicated to our one of a kind silhouettes!

Also I just received notice that these three new models (Marquises, Grenadines, and Belvedere collection) will be available to be painted at the event!

You can get anything? ANYTHING? This is way too much pressure. Just thinking about what colors to get stripes and/or initials is enough to put me over the edge. EDIT: I called Barneys to let them know I was coming, and Sheryl gave me pricing for the custom designs- it starts at $764 a silhouette or simple image, and goes up in price for complexity.

To the people who are going, please report back! We'd love to see what you get, whether it be a full-fledged custom design, or just the traditional monogram and stripes!

I am new to Goyard. I would love a tote (St Louis GM?). Does there need to be a special event like this one for me to have it customized with just a stripe and my initials?

Also if you are not in NY or SF or close to either, is there anywhere else in the US where I could look at the bags in person prior?
