I really want a damier keepall 55 and went to Louis Vuitton this evening to buy it. But the date code on the bag said that it was made in august of 2006, and i really want one from this year, and it was the only one left. So i put the bag on hold to go home and think about it. Do you think i am being foolish by only wanting to buy a Louis from 2007.

other than the dates if it's the same bag and in perfect condition i would just get it...but i also know how it feels when an idea gets stuck in your mind...so do what makes you happy =]

I wouldn't mind, it's just a date code. It doesn't mean anything other than when it was made. One isn't better than the other.
IMO, you're going to be using the keepall, not the date code if you know what I mean.

Is there a particular reason you want a bag from 2007? If you just have it stuck in your head I get that too But if not and the bag doesn't have a patina then I would take it! I am not one of those people who can wait though! LOL
