I'm not voting; and I second that the poll options are uppity and snobby.
I have no problem with 'Designer Inspired' - there's a Brown's Couture bag here that looks like a Chanel Re-Issue (but is puffier, and obviously worse quality), but they have it in a hot-pink patent leather. I'd love a Chanel Jumbo (one day...), but I'm not really interested in eating canned tuna & Ramen for the next while to save up for it. The Browns' version is only $98; I want. Certainly, it won't last as long as a real Chanel, but for my purpose, it works. I have authentic mid-end and Premier bags, but I'm not above carrying something that's considered low-end. It's all about mixing it up; I buy what I like (within reason. And budget, unfortunately
)
(The bag also isn't claiming to be Chanel; there is no logo'd interior, no CC charms; merely an inspired one.)
At the same token, while I would personally, never carry a knockoff/out-and-out fake, I have no real problem with people who do. Their conscience, not mine.
Furthermore, the argument that 'fakes cheapen authentics' is so unbecoming and pretentious, I can't stand it. I don't love my bags any less because someone across from me is carrying a fake; and I don't feel a need to flaunt my authentic in their face. There's a point when acting like you're in high school (and being so concerned that a stranger is carrying a fake, to have a conniption over it, is on that level, IMHO), is much more pathetic than carrying a fake handbag.
