Hi,

I felt the Nightingales at the store a long time ago and remember they all feel pretty stiff. I know that they break in and soften but which do owners prefer? Calfskin or Lambskin? Which softens better? Which handles use and wear better? Is one much heavier than the other? Are there big positives and negatives to each type of leather?

This forum is slow huh? LOL I asked a similar question and got NO responses.
I think Lambskin is softer and more delicate, but I can't be sure. I am looking for the same answers

I have the large nightingale in lambskin. That's very soft and buttery and quite fragile. I wish I could give you comparisons to a calfskin nightingale. My other givenchy is an antigona and that's a very thick calfskin and I don't think the nightingale calfskin is that stiff.

maybe we can use the leather thread and discuss all of these topics together.
