Clear the racks mark downs start 28 th. But in the past things have always been marked down for the sale a few days early.

Havent really seen anything on current mark down I'm looking to get, my NR seem pretty bare on red tags but maybe some néw stuff will be marked down by then.

I might start hunting on Sunday see what's there. I'm still looking for refurbed boots for Fall!

I'm a little crazy so I just said send it! I have no idea what it looks like (he he) but I figured worst case scenario I return it, my NR is 2 miles away (Beverly Connection) and u still earn points so it's all good :)

Lol! Good idea!!! I would have done the same! I didn't even know they did charge sends until recently! So the bag is still a mistery!!!!! Wow it's like going on a blind date! Lol!!

How do you girls work your magic with your SAs at NR? Every time I go to one, all the sales people have the "don't talk to me" sort of face.

I even asked if there are SAs who can tell you cool shipments that come in, they're like, " oh, that's illegal
, you just have to come in to check every time.." so please give me some of your magic to get them to like me more.hahah

On a brighter note... Ladies... Should I keep this?

I got a Marc by Marc scarf today, marked down to $70 from $178.

I wish I knew, I have had SA's ask for my info in all areas, in shoes, handbags, etc and at several stores but so far none have ever called me with any deals. I get more info from shoppers, tpf'ers on here passing on whats in store, or friends sighting things they know are in my size in shoes or what I like in bags or brands I like. I do the same if I know someone is looking for something in particular etc, pay it forward! lol

But I know huge big spenders ( think level 4 ++++ lol) get first priority on refurbed awesome handbags, etc. I know in one NR by me the SA's call them first and it kinda irks me as they buy full price as well without batting an eye which is great but I can't afford to buy full price all the time on designer bags and they get a 2k bag for 300 or something all the time.. rant over. lol oh well, one day I will get my hearts desire bags .. just gotta wait! I'll enjoy it more I think :)

I'm a level 4 at Nordstrom, and I just moved to California - and the SA here told me "we can't call anyone about purses." I was furious! I live an hour from the nearest Nordstrom rack, and you can't call me if something comes in after I've spent a fortune in your store??

So, there are two sides to every coin. For me, as a very loyal customer, I expect strong customer service.

I have had both sides happen. Here in LA most SA's act like you are lucky to be in their presence but when I used go to Nordstrom in San Diego I would find a couple of cool SA's who called me right before the anniversary sale to schedule appts so I told them what I wanted and they ordered on day one. At NR I filled out a card asking to call me when certain brands came in and I actually have gotten a couple of calls to say the got Burberry watches in but that's it. I'm level 3 and will likely move up to 4 by the end if the year but I do wish we got some perks but so far in LA I give it a thumbs down.
I do agree with you though on the expectation of good customer service as a loyal customer...isn't that what is supposed to set Nordstrom apart from other retailers?

I understand what you are saying. I just see this NR holding really good stuff for this one customer. All. The. Time. I'd rather they call no one than just some.

Put out stuff sporadically. Etc.

I'm a loyal customer as well. At both the outlet and regular store.

I've had calls though from the regular store just never the rack. (( shrugs. What can you do? )).

I do understand that. I'm probably just venting; I had the best SAs in the world in Michigan :)

Great Buy! I must have lucked out because one of the workers asked me if I'd like to get a call if there are certain items/brands I like. So i basically asked her to give me a call when they get new shipments of bags/wallets! I've gotten some great deals as a result! She told me that the workers at NR do not know when they get shipments or what will be on them until after the truck is unloaded but that they generally get several shipments on a weekly basis.

I went back to the Potomac Mills Rack today and bought this pair of Chanel flats. I usually wear a 40/41 and these are a 39 lol. They do fit but it's a tight fit, so I'm going to try my shoe stretcher on them. I love that the Chanel logo is subtle and that the blue/black combo will go well with jeans. I wish I had smaller feet because there were so many great shoes for smaller sizes!
