Let's say you bought a ceramic watch for $500 a couple of years ago from Nordies. It is one of 9 watches in your collection, so it wasn't worn daily. A crystal from the bezel fell out and I was just going to live with it, but a friend said I should return it. WDYT? Tacky? Within my rights? BTW, I am a very good Nordies customer (i.e. spend thousands there each year) and have never returned anything other than unworn items that didn't fit.

I view this more as a warranty issue than a "return." I would take it to Nordstrom and show them what happened. They have very good CS and can either send the watch in for repair or give you credit towards a new watch.

I agree. I would seek out customer service/repair with the brand it is and then if that doesn't work, check with Nordstroms.
