Hi everyone. Has anybody shopped at Luxuca before? More specifically directly from their website. I've been wanting to buy from them for a while now...and think I'll take the plunge soon. I like to shop locally when possible to avoid major shipping/duties etc...and I've been so busy lately that shopping online seems much more convenient right now.

Any comments on a purchase or their products would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Okay, since I waited for a reply without much luck, I decided to call them & make an appointment to go visit their showroom on Crescent street in Montreal. I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised with what I saw. It's on the 3rd floor of a commercial townhouse that's like right next to Holt Renfrew so parking was a snap. The showroom is a really nice classy loft space where they showcase several of their bags and have drop-offs for customer who want to sell/consign theirs. It kinda felt like vip private shopping and I really liked the vibe...definitely not your typical consignment place. Not that I'm a snob or anything, but I like shopping at beautiful stores and would feel safe about leaving my expensive bags there. Other than that, the service was great, not rushed or pushy, just really welcoming & informative. I met the stylish owner and had a nice chat. It just made sense.

All this to say, I bought a gorg. LV carry-on bag in super condition (looked almost new) and got a great deal so I'm a happy girl. It wasn't even what I originally wanted to buy on the website but some of their things aren't online, and well, I can't fight with my heart when it comes to these things... I was 99% sure it was authentic but still made trip a couple blocs down to the Louis Vuitton boutique at Ogilvy's and compared my purchase with the one they had on display, and left 100% sure and even happier with the price I paid. Honestly, I feel like I've found a hidden gem and plan to add this to my route next time I go to Holt Renfrew. I also love that I can buy online or by phone and go pick it up in person and save the shipping. It's a bonus for local girls!

Anyhow, thumbs up for Luxuca, hope this helps somebody else who may have been wondering as I was.

Take care,
Su

Thanks Emmzk!
They didn't have any Chanel on the website last time I checked but when I went in, there were 2 that I saw, but both had been sold and were on layaway for the customer to come and pick them up. When I spoke to the owner, she mentioned that the Montreal location was their first but that Toronto is in their future plans. They for sure ship to Ontario though.

Anyhow, just checked again today and they're having a Fall SALE until the 18th of this month so it's a good time to give it a go without worrying too much about shipping cost.

Um, I just want to their website, and they have a picture of a fake LV on the main page. Whatever you decide to buy from them, I suggest you get a second opinion of authenticity before purchasing.

Hey ArmCandyLuvr,
(?) Do you mean just a picture on the web-design page (you know like the banner or buttons) or actually one of the items they're selling? ...cause the web-design may have been done by just that, a web-designer

So far, all the items I've checked seem authentic and when I saw them in person too, but getting bags authenticated is always a good idea regardless of where you buy.

I have no doubts about the bag I bought though :) still happy

Oh yeah, i just checked it out, i think I know what you mean! The Speedy on the "blog" button...yeah it may just have been an oversight...It doesn't look like a picture they took or of one of their bags. Actually, it doesn't look like a real picture at all for that matter...more like a collage or something. They change that banner up sometimes. Kinda silly but oh well, it happens I guess

ps. btw, if you do a search on them on this forum, so far all the bags that have been put up for authentication from them have been authentic/green light... so that's reassuring at least.

^^^ Yes. I looked at some of the items they have, and nothing looked fake to me. I just find it strange they would use a pic of that fake bag for their blog button.

I know, it's a booboo... since they were cool maybe I'll send them an email so that they take a look. Is that appropriate you think? I don't know, it just seems like a shame if it was a blooper by the design guy ...

After I purchased my bag, customer service sent me a thank you email with a coupon for a $20 on a future purchase (which is always cool) ...so I just replied to that and said something along the lines of "hey, thanks, btw...you know that image up there is kind of throwing people off" and got a response from Luxuca yesterday saying:

"Thank you very much for visiting our site and giving us your feedback. We'll look into it right away. The bag in the image is not one that we sell or have ever sold. This was an unfortunate oversight of our graphics team that we had not paid attention to, but will be sure to change. All of our merchandise is thoroughly inspected for authenticity and we stand by that with our money back guarantee. We always welcome your comments and thank you for taking the time to write to us."

Fair enough :) today I went back & the image was changed...at least they're quick & responsive.

Have a good w-e

Enjoy your w-e

Ur welcome! They did mention that if you're looking for something in particular, they would give you priority pick and pricing to it. Basically they'll let you know if/once they have it and offer you a deal before it goes on sale online. So yeah, send them an email with what you're looking for and maybe how much you want to spend. Go for it, it can't hurt!
