My next issue with them is that they sent me 1K of someone else's order in a huge box addressed to me so I naturally opened the box. It is an inconvenience for me to re-wrap it and drop it off at a post office (the box is too big to leave in a mailbox and it's not something I would just leave out to be picked up) ...basically, it shouldn't be my problem. So I called them to let them know all of this, thinking they would be grateful not only that 1K of their merchandise isn't missing but that I'm willing to send it back to them at my inconvenience. Being nice apparently doesn't pay off.
I actually had the same thing happen to me.... only the etailer was Sephora. They sent me about $500 worth of merchandise- none of the stuff I ordered. When I called them about MY order, they asked me to return the stuff I received and they would overnight the Laura Mercier items I ordered. No code, nothing. When I received my items, they didn't even give me more samples. I did return the products sent to me by mistake. I thought about keeping the items, but I'm a 30something working mom, and had no use for all of the glitter makeup in the package.

I agree with you. I was surprised Sephora did nothing for me (other than to ship my items overnight). I mean, my order was delayed AND I did the courteous thing and returned the stuff sent to me by mistake.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear all these stories. I wonder what is going on with them? I bought a RM MAB not too long ago from them and it came wonderfully packed with no problems. It wasn't on sale though. it seems as though their sale items may be the items with trouble.

I ordered a pair of of smooth leather Joie Mary Janes last fall, and they sent me a pair of suede pumps- and they were all dusty and scuffed on the bottom. (obviously worn)

I called to try and get the correct shoes, but they were sold out. The SA I spoke to didn't even apologize for sending me the wrong thing! I was so angry because I really wanted those shoes. They could have AT LEAST apologized.

Geez- you'd think that they would have at least opened the box before shipping something out to see it was the correct item!

Wow I'm sorry to hear that about Revolve! I just received an Ed Hardy tank, a pair of 7 jeans and a pair of James jeans that were part of the sale and they are AMAZING! They came packaged great and shipped quickly. I guess it's hit or miss. But I've always had great service with Revolve.

Wow thats terrible. I have ordered from Revolve several times and it has been good service. Just about two weeks ago, I ordered a RM MA bag with my sister, and they forgot to ship it (after we called to change the colour, since she changed her mind) and they offered to give free express shipping for the purchase, and it came packaged nicely and in good shape! So I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you :(

Another similar experience though .. I ordered a bag TWO weeks ago from shopepic.com, and they didn't even ship the bag until about a WEEK later!! The receipt said it is express shipping (which was $20) AND I still have not received my bag yet!! So I am worried, since I have called them many, many times and they have said or done nothing at all! I know I live in Canada, but I really don't think it's that hard to ship orders on time and properly is it?

I recently ordered and received a dress but it was clear even just by looking at the plastic wrapper that it was worn or a return: the plastic "bag" was simply rolled around an unfolded, disheveled dress (and stuffed unceremoniously into the box)! Only good thing was the easy return bag and sticker they send you so I sent it back right away. But I have talked to their CS on previous occasion and they are NOT nice. Do they have too much inventory for their workforce???!

just goes to show you it doesn't pay to be honest. if you get someone else's stuff, keep it, and let the company deal with the problem. that's the message revolve is ending you for being so rude.

Perhaps Revolve is being told to cut back on their discounts when dealing with customers? I have received very good coupons in the past when experiencing problems with their service. (They do mess up a lot.) However, the last time I had a problem I did notice they seemed indifferent. It is also more of a hassle for me to order from them because I live in Canada and pay customs on items - regardless of whether they make a mistake and I have to end up returning the item(s). If I lived in the US and had a free return label (for smaller items - obviously not for the huge box that you are talking about) I wouldn't be that miffed about just attaching the label and throwing it in a mailbox. I assume that when things are on sale, they are on sale for a reason. I think it's wise to just assume that everything on sale is a return in order to be less surprised if things are found wrinkled or in less than brand new, perfect condition.

i think they can track where these packages are going b/c according to the tracking info, it states your zip code at the very least. the main thing is that i don't want to do anything illegal even though the package is addressed to me and you'd think, "finders keepers." According to them, this package is now MY PROBLEM and if I don't fix it, i'll face the consequences. i thought i was being considerate in volunteering the information that i possessed these items, so i didn't expect that they would treat me as if i'm some potential criminal and blacklist me from using their website in the future. so rude!

I called them to complain and to see if I could get an exchange, but it was the only one left. They only offered me a 5% discount, which only saved me only some change. I asked if they could honor the special 30% new customer discount, but they would not give in.

I ended up keeping the shirt...I'll just have to bring it to the tailors to get it fixed and then drycleaned. I just really love this shirt too much to part with it. I've been looking everywhere for it, but the last time I saw it was a few months ago at Bloomies and not in my size. Oh well....... :-\

What would you ladies have done? Returned it?
5% ? Are they kidding?
These stories are really disappointing for a website with an otherwise excellent reputation!
Their CS person should read this thread!!

so I was really worried after reading this thread but I've had a really good experience with them. (jeans came 2 days after ordering them and they were in perfect, brand new condition. they were all on sale too). maybe it's a hit/miss sort of thing. but I do agree, they did a very poor job dealing with your situation.

Hm, I just ordered an RM from them this morning (too bad they are excluded from any coupon codes...). I hope there is no trouble with the order!

Hmm... that sucks. I have ordered several times from them in the past and had no issues. I placed another order yesterday so now I'm gonna be all nervous... eek.

I had a bad experience with BlueFly earlier this week, too... darn e-tailers.
