Default Century 21 and Plus size store in NY Q's
What brands do they carry?
Can you buy designer bags and shoes there, if so what brands?
How are the prices?

Also, do they have any good plus size stores in NY with trendy clothes, affordable?

Thanks!

You should check out http://www.redressnyc.com

I have never been there but heard fantastic things about them.

Last time I went to Century 21 they had stopped carrying plus size clothes and none of the bags were amazing deals or anything.

Have fun in NY!

Yeah, what I have noticed is I work twice as hard to find stuff half as nice that costs twice as much and is half the quality.

(If there are so many fat people, why is there such a void when it comes to beautiful & high quality clothing in size 14+?)

I know a former fellow employee of mine went to NYC and Century 21. She was looking for plus-sized clothes, and got mad because they advertized it, yet there was barely a rack, and none of the clothes were worth her time.

As for Juicy, I would think the store in NYC would also have plus-sized clothing. Although, I don't know that for a fact. You could call and check though :)

C21 in NYC has no plus size at all. There is one rack of tunics and they are dreadful. Their shoe selection can be awesome depending on the day you go but I've been really disappointed in their handbag selection. DSW is right across the highway if you do go and want more options. There is also a Syms nearby.

Macy's on 34th has a pretty decent selection. Have you tried Faith21 by Forever 21 for trendy and affordable? It's mostly online and the sizes run a bit small but it's definitely affordable.

Thanks for the Redress link Nooch.

Here is their store list:

http://www.forever21.com/faith21/store.asp

No locations in NYC are listed :(

You can only wear their stuff if you can fit into a small size 18. The 1X is like a 14/16 and the 2x is like a 16/18.

My mom is plus size and her clothes are gorgeous. You just have to know where to shop. She shops all over the city but Macy's Herald Square and Bloomies are her mainstays.
