Default Your preparations for Christmas!

Hey guys, I know its early, but here the major stores are already stocking Christmas decorations and the like.

Im excited about Christmas early this year because it will be the first year, in my new(first) house and I can buy all the decorations and host my first Christmas Lunch for family.

Im wondering what everyone decorates their house with and what your planning on doing for Christmas. Do you buy new things every year? Do you go crazy with decorations and lights? What do you normally eat for lunch/dinner?

Does anyone have pics of their decorated Christmas tree and stuff?

Just looking for ideas!

Oooh...I'm already making plans for Christmas. I bought a bunch of ornaments back in August. And I've been talking with DH about renting a cherry picker to put C-9 lights on a 30' evergreen that we have in the front of the house.

ETA pictures from last Christmas

the dining room tree:

the family room tree, which is a bit sparse b/c I couldn't risk using glass ornaments with DD just starting to walk around

had to add a shot of DH and DD at the tree farm last November

I can't wait to go this year with DD & DS!!!!!

Hi m1nime!

Sorry, I don't have pictures but I hope you don't mind me posting without pics, lol.

I'm just as excited as you are!
My parents just bought a new condo and my sister and I are SO EXCITED because we're finally getting our own rooms, and most importantly, WE GET TO FINALLY CELEBRATE/DECORATE for the holidays!

So far, my sister and I have bought ornaments and window vinyls!
We're definetly getting a tree and decorating the stairs!

Christmas is such a big deal for my sister and I because our family doesn't really do much... so her and I are usually responsible for "lifting" the spirits. lol.

I'll take pictures for you as soon as I begin decorating!
That'll probably take a while.. since we haven't even moved in yet but I promise I will take pictures for you! :)

here is a pic of our tree last Christmas Eve. We had glass ornaments which was a bad idea having a kitten that wasn't even a year old yet.

I too am excited as you are!!! I've already started 'thinking' of what presents to get. I love, love Christmas! Last year I missed Christmas in town, so this year I need to make up for it. Sadly my parents will be out of town, so it'll be a little bummer. BTW, love all the Christmas trees!!!! Can't wait till I can put up mind. :) --- Now I need to think of a new color theme for this years Christmas.

Huh? I can't get past Halloween decor in stores now, LOL. Sorry to be a poopy pants...I LOVE Christmas and the decor, but I believe in enjoying the MOMENT and not all the preliminary stuff if that makes sense. Meaning, I refuse to do any Christmas shopping or decorating before Thanksgiving.

I too love Christmas. Everything about it. Decorating, wrapping gifts, cooking, baking cookies. Since I've been in my house, we've had Christmas dinner here. My mom and I both cook.
This year I have to buy a new tree. And I can't wait. Last year I had an all white tree with Different shades of purple bulbs and purple lights.
This year it will be all colors, and being German, we also set out an Advents wreath. It has 4 candles and you light one each sunday until Christmas, by the last Sunday b4, all candles are lit. My mother has been making wreaths for the last 2 years. I will try to get a pic on one yo post here.
We also buy calendars for the kids. They open a door each day and there is a piece of chocolate behind it until they get to thr 24th door.
I AM SO READY FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!
