Oh and I'm taking Pre AP Chem, but probably not taking AP chem. pre ap chem is going to kill me already, so I don't think I want to endure another year. Plus I need to fit Physics in somewhere, so I will take AP physics in senior year. That's the only way to fit it in..

lzznit, how old are you? Did you apply to begin undergrad or grad school?
I don't know if they offer this at your school, but I was i pre IB, which allowed me to take classes over the summer, so I was able to skip a lot of the classes the 'normies' had to take. For example, I took keyboarding and health one summer, and I didn't have to take it freshman year, and I was able to skip earth science and go straight to world history honors, then to ap euro. Next summer I took Government and Economy, so I don't have to take it senior year, and leaves room for more ap classes. WOOH!... haha not. Actually I'm taking summer classes.

I'm 16, but I'm going to college already. Transferring is all I'm doing!

OMG you are amazing! My role model My school doesn't have the IB program, we only do AP, which is less crazy in my opinion. I think IB has a lot of unnecessary projects. Plus some of the classes that are required are really ridiculous. I'm good with the AP program. I like it a lot better than IB. I think I'm quite advanced in all the classes I'm taking. I was going to skip into AP bio, but I decided not to because I'm not taking AP chem after all. I'm taking PreCalculus next year and most people take that in their junior/senior year, if you don't advance. I know 'normal' peope take Calc. in college but there is no way I am doing that..I'm finishing both years of calculus and Stat. before going to STANFORD. I'm determined and I think that's an important key. I'm driven, I know I have to work very hard but I think I can do it.

Thanks, but I'm just someone who wants to succeed in life, mainly to support my bag addiction . But I'm SO glad you feel that way, that was perhaps my biggest mistake. I didn't start caring until junior year. By then it was too late...If you ever need someone to vent to about school work or just advice, feel free to PM me! I'm young but I've experienced a lot already!

btw, i didn't stick with IB, only took it to get ahead!!!! It really starts junior year, and by then I quit and switched to AP.

Thanks! I will take you up on that offer and PM you :) I think that's my weakness right now, I care a little too much about high school and my college life. I have been stressing about it and what not for a while, not completely enjoying the freedom of summer. I'm studying precalculus right now on my own, just to get ready for the school year.

Sounds like you were in high school during the "good innocent times". I dream Hehe, that's why I'm such a Vintage/Hippie chick!
of being in high school or being some where near that time! I'm not a huge fan of this century.... ahahha. I dream about being in the 80s or 90s all the time

hahah, me too. it took me a while (and perhaps i'm not even 100% there yet) to really accept that fact that my teenage years weren't ever "coming back", or 1993 or something was never coming back. lol. sounds strange because everyone knows that literally, logically, practically...but when you're still in the early stages of your youth, coming off those teenage years, grasping that concept in a spiritual way, in that abstract beyond-the-literal way, takes some living. to really realize that time only carries you, and your world, further and further away from the past. lol, sorry if i sound like a downer, i don't mean to be! it's not all bad. but it's a strange experience to go through that, to have to really learn something like that in a way you'd never expect to have to learn. kwim?

Wow, high school brings back so many wonderful memories. Cheerleading, dating jocks, friends, class trips. Over 400 graduating class. Good times. That was a long time ago.

The funniest thing I remember (which one of my friends still brings up from time to time) was when I was telling my friends that the janitor had to help me get the lock off my locker because I didn't have the key. I was telling them that I got to go in the elevator with him to get to my locker (no students were allowed to use the elevator) and the way I said it was that he "rode me in the elevator." I was picked on for that for a long time, and they would sing "Love in an Elevator" by Aerosmith to me all the time

Another funny thing I remember was when one of the guys in my class brought a remote control to school (he had the same TV at home as we

had in the classroom) and kept turning the TV on and off. The "WTF?" look on our chemistry teacher's face was priceless
same here! I remember trying out for the school annual fashion show held every june. I felt sooo nervous since I had to parade around in front of the teachers in charge of the fashion department( I went to High School of Fashion industries in NYC) When it was my turn to try out, I went up there did my little walk, on the way back I slipped and fell hard. Everyone was laughing..anyhoo I got up and tried to play it off..back then it wasn't so funny, but now I crack up every time I tink about it...

I graduated 10 years ago. I was a dork but I had a really good time in HS. I do have a few regrets though. I did occasionally ditch to go shopping with my friends. The shocking thing was I only got caught maybe once or twice. I just wish I would have taken it a little bit more seriously.

The most embarrassing moment of my life happened in HS. I was walking down the hall with my friend and my crush and I locked eyes. I was walking daydreaming not paying attention. All of a sudden my friend gave me a little shove. Since I wasn't paying attention I tripped and fell flat on my face. Of course my crush saw it and started laughing, along with everyone else in the hall.

My main advice would be to just be yourself and don't worry about what other people think. HS goes by so quickly. It will be over before you know it!

I like your story And did you and your crush get anywhere afterwards? Or did he ask you out... anything?

And I love your advice!! That is exactly what I did through high school and I just recently graduated, woo hoo. And my best memory has to be when I got onto Homecoming Court as one of the 5 princesses and well, alot of popular girls TALKED ALOT OF TRASH about me and WERE SO JEALOUS. That was sort of my point to run for it actually, I mean, I knew I wasn't going to win, but I really wanted to represent the OUTSIDERS

...1985 high school graduate here!! So many great memories:

- Our high school won the state football championship in 1983. Big final game in the Kingdome (in Seattle, no longer there) and we were total underdogs but we kicked butt!!

- Guess jeans with the skinny legs and ankle zippers worn with white Keds with the laces removed. Very important to remove the laces.

- Lots of gel and hair mousse. hey it was the mid 80s so it was the Law.

- Going to lunch off campus every day to a local pizza place and having salads for $2 with a group of 5-6 girlfriends...the coolest one had a red 1967 mustang.

- Touring, performing and kicking major booty with choir competitions. I don't know how to explain it but our classical and vocal jazz choirs were treated like rock stars rather than geeks and I was honored to be part of that group. We toured all over the place singing at the elks club, shriners, retirement homes, the local malls, you name it. our director would take us to the opera house to watch the dress rehearsal of Carmen or other events (you could get box seats for $5 because it was a dress rehearsal).

- Ummm...having a liquid lunch (cheap beer) under the stadium and then going to choir practice buzzed one day...and someone had birthday balloons in the back and decided to deflate and inhale them so us rowdy altos in the back row started sounding like the chipmunks instead of the powerhouse altos we were.
