Angry "Your girlfriend looks like she's been hitting up the BUFFET BAR"..I'm so upset!!!!!!
I'm sorry.. I HAVE to rant for awhile.

So my mom calls me today, She tells me that my sister is having a really hard day.
My sister is 15.
I ask my mom "why mom? what happend?"
My mom tells me that my sisters boyfriends dad told him that 'it looks like you girlfriend has been hitting up the buffet bar..is she preggo?"
This was from his DRUNK of a father.
Her boyfriend and his dad got in a huge fight about it... Then he told her what his dad had said.
I guess also.. her boyfriend is getting teased to.. They're calling him a "chubby chaser"

Thats not the only thing...
A few days ago it was "superhero day" at school. She made a really cute costume to look like superman. Well, some little turd told her that she was to fat to wear that.

She came home and mom asked how her day went and if she won anything for her costume. My sister said "no, not really". Then my mom wanted to see the pics she had taken from that day. My sister then told her what the turd said. And that she erased all of the pics she had taken because she didn't want to be reminded of it.

I am so upset. My sister is 5' 8" tall and weighs 160.
Why are ppl like this????? Why? For an adult man to say something like that??
I can "kinda" understand kids saying something stupid like that. But an adult??
I didn't have the weight problems in school... but I did get teased all the time about my hair. I was called anything from a mut, shaggy, the N word..ect. And knowing how much that hurt, I coudn't imagine how much it hurts to be teased about your weight.

Her is my BEAUTIFULL sister and her Oh so sweet boyfriend :)

Sorry.. I was rushing when I wrote this. It's poorly written, I know :(

That really does suck. Some people just have no manners/class and it shows.
I know it doesn't help your sister NOW, but as long as she holds her head up high and doesn't stoop to the bottomfeeders' level, she will have the last laugh.
I was teased in school because I was 1/2 Japanese....I've heard all the slurs and as petty as it may be, I just saw the pictures from the 20 year reuinion, and I can honestly say that I am STILL having the last laugh!

god. i'm so sorry to hear this. that is such an awful thing for a father to say to his son. grrreat example he's setting, eh? and the kids, well, they remind me of why i hated high school. just a terrible time in general.

anyway, i would talk with your sister. if she's disturbed by these comments yet feels like she is healthy, tell her to take the high road and talk to her about what you had to overcome in school...how everyone picks something about someone that they dont like- their hair, weight, pimples, whatever.... but if she has always struggled with her weight and she would like to be healthier, maybe you could join her in her quest for health and go to the gym together or take some yoga classes- like turn it into a positive experience, ya know? i dont know- it is definitely a sticky situation.

Thanks ladies! I def plan on talking to her. And I would LOVE to take a class with her. But I'm moving about 500 miles away pretty soon :( (I'm an army wife)

She is a very quiet, nice, kind, loving kid. (well, except to me..haha we're 9 years apart and she thinks I'm the oldest outdated thing in the world)

Her weight bounces up and down all the time. She doesn't care though.. she still continues to wear her skinny jeans no matter what ppl say :) I just tell her to rock on with her bad self!

I've never talked to her about her weight..and shes never said anything about it.

I'm going over there this weekend.. hopefully I can find some way to talk with her about it.

She isn't big at all. In fact, she has rather slender legs.

The drunk dad has issues... that's a fact. She should know that he probably has a lot of pain inside him and tries to hurt other people deliberately. He sounds like a jackass to his own son, so I would tell her to not take it personally.

In high school, I was teased for having a larger nose, curly/frizzy hair and having natural large breasts for my frame (lots of breast implant rumors). Seven years later, I know that my nose never dampered my dating life and most women pay a lot of money for other features I have like my lips. My hair is easily straightened. And well, my breasts? Um, I've looked up people on Facebook. A couple of girls got breast implants that look kind of nasty... and I still have one of the better figures of my graduating class. It will all work out for her.

Since she's tall, she'll have an easier time at 25. Taller girls carry weight differently. Most women gain weight by 25... it sucks being shorter because any extra lbs are very obvious. If she maintains healthy habits, she'll have her revenge. All of those naturally tiny girls that tease her will settle into bad habits and pork out themselves eventually.

Wow some people have no class and are very insensitive, and to say something like that to a teen...just wrong.

im sorry! people can be so hurtful and mean and not even give it a second thought!!

i don't think she is over weight at all! she looks healthy and beautiful!! UGH! i want to really smack some people on the head sometimes!

i never got picked on about being over weight, i was too skinny and flat as a board all the way around. i got told so many times that i needed to get a butt and i needed to grow some boobs...all guys telling me that of course. it really hurt. why are people so judgmental? it really sucks!

TELL HER THAT SHE IS BEAUTIFUL AND TO SMILE!!

Your sister is beautiful. It's pathetic that a grown man would see fit to comment on a child's appearance in that manner. He's disgusting.

Your sister is beautiful - encourage her to work on her self esteem - no matter how wonderful your personality or perfect your face or body - someone will always have something nasty to say - gotta keep working on inner strength to tune it out and tell others not to treat her that way through her words and actions... will take a lot of time and strength, but it is worth it!

Really? People post pictures of their children and nieces/nephews on welcome threads in P&P? I didn't know this was not allowed.

I want to give your sister a great big hug. You can expect kids to be unkind sometimes, its not nice, but they know no better, but a grown man? What an ugly heart he has.

I hope she knows how loved she is by everyone around her, and how much her boyfriend thinks of her to stand up to the monster that does not even deserve to be called a Dad.
