Ok, so whats your view?-- Being a little overweight is a huge deal and your sister should continue to think so. When people make fun of her for being overweight she should feel terrible because it is a such a big deal. Nobody has it worst then your sister. And being overweight is very healthy and by getting in shape she wont feel better about herself.

I dont think that is very mature.
I'm sticking with what I said. And yes it is looking at it in a mature way.

The op's sister is a little overweight. and Yes, I do remind myself of people who have it worst and move on. It does no good to sit and be sad feeling sorry for yourself. When somebody hurts you, it hurts but you realize that its not the end of the world and move on. If it really bothers her that much she can loose the weight. Not a huge deal. But sitting and getting sympathy can only last so long before she will need to except reality and move on.

I actually have to agree with you about the weight loss. For a girl to be 5'8 her weight should be between 126 and 154 anything above or below is unhealthy. It would be better for her health to lose five or so pounds. I'm not saying she's overweight, but go to a doctor and they will tell you a 15 year old should not be above that range. I'm just quoting what my parents (who are both doctors) have told me.

If she is happy with the way that she looks then wonderful, however you have to consider heart and health issues as well. Most importantly under no circumstances should a grown man say that to a teenage girl. That's is uncalled for and extremely inappropriate.
